A first motor is connected with the first pinion to generate a steering assist torque in accordance with the steering torque detected by the torque sensor. A second motor is connected with the second pinion to generate a steering assist torque in accordance with the steering torque.

The oil separator includes a separator cover fixed to an inner surface of the cylinder head cover defining a space extending in a first direction perpendicular to axis of a camshaft in plan, between the separator cover and the cylinder head cover. Parking mechanism

A parking mechanism includes a parking gear disposed within a belt type continuously variable transmission and coaxially fixed to a first rotational shaft of a secondary pulley. A parking pawl is rotatable on a plane perpendicular to the first rotational shaft and able to engage the parking gear with a transmission housing to stop rotation of the secondary pulley. A manual shaft is rotatable with an operational force of a driver for a lever. A detent mechanism is provided for changing a rotational movement of the manual shaft to a movement in a direction of the first rotational shaft. The movement in the direction of the first rotational shaft is transmitted to the parking pawl through a rod. A cam is disposed at an end section of the rod to change the movement in the first rotational shaft to a rotational movement on the plane perpendicular to the first rotational shaft. The parking gear is integrally formed at an outer peripheral section of a fixed sheave of the secondary pulley. The detent mechanism for operating the parking pawl is disposed to side of the movable sheave of the secondary pulley. At least a part of the rod is located above a belt passed on a primary pulley and the secondary pulley of the belt type continuously variable transmission.

Power steering system

Cylinder device

A cylinder device such as a power cylinder of a power steering system includes a slidable shaft slidably disposed inside a housing. A joint member is connected to the end section of the slidable shaft. A stopper member is disposed between the slidable shaft and the joint member. Here, the end section of the slidable shaft is cutout to form an axial engagement surface. The slidable shaft and the joint member are connected in a condition where the end face of the slidable shaft is in contact with the end face of the joint member so as to from a groove between the axial engagement surface and the joint member. The stopper member is formed annular and has an engagement section formed along its inner periphery. The engagement section is fitted in the groove so that the stopper member is prevented from at least an axial movement.
