The invention provides an on-line purging-
proton transfer reaction time-of-flight
mass spectrometry
system for detecting volatile organic compounds in water, which comprises an
inert carrier gas source, an on-line purging automatic sampling device, a four-way joint and a
proton transfer reaction time-of-flight
mass spectrometer, the three-way valve is respectively connected with a first
mass flow controller and a second mass flow controller; the gas inlet end of the on-line purging automatic sampling device is connected with the first mass flow controller; the four-way connector is respectively connected with the on-line purging automatic sampling device, the second mass flow controller, and the
atmosphere and the
proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass
spectrometer. According to the device,
inert carrier gas is in full contact with a liquid sample through the on-line purging automatic sampling device, the
precipitation efficiency of volatile or semi-volatile organic compounds is improved, complex pretreatment and
chromatographic separation are not needed, the sample is directly subjected to soft
ionization detection after being purged, the analysis time is remarkably shortened, and the operation and maintenance cost is greatly reduced.
