The starting method specifically comprises the steps of (1) working out required air flow according to the value of power of the cell stack; (2) heating the cell stack at the heating rate of not greater than 5 DEG C/min; (3) from the room temperature to 200 DEG C, pumping set air amount from the negative electrode side of the cell stack, and ensuring that the sealing surface of the cell stack has 20-30% of gas leakage amount; (4) from 200 DEG C to 450 DEG C, increasing carbon dioxide on the negative electrode side of the cell stack, wherein the gas amount is half of the air flow; when the temperature reaches 450 DEG C, ensuring that the sealing surface has no gas leakage; (5) from 450 DEG C to 550 DEG C, closing negative electrode air inlet, and performing a salt dissolving stage on the cell stack; (6) from 550 DEG C to 650 DEG C, pumping nitrogen to the positive electrode to restore an electrode; and (7) when the temperature reaches 650 DEG C, pumping air and carbon dioxide to the negative electrode to perform discharging performance test. By virtue of the starting method, the risk of carbon accumulation in the high-power molten carbonate fuel cell stack in a roasting process can be effectively lowered, and success rate of stably outputting power of the cell stack is effectively improved.
