The invention discloses a group distribution method of standby batteries, comprising the following steps: (1) determining a numerical value as the weight design value of monolithic polar plates, weighing the monolithic polar plates, and leaving the polar plates the weight of which is within the range of plus or minus 2.5% of the weight design value; (2) grouping the polar plates obtained in step (1), and sequencing the polar plates based on a big group, a middle group and a small group, wherein, the minimum value in each group differs by the same fixed value successively; (3) using three groups of the polar plates to carry out polar-group group distribution, wherein, auto-group distribution is carried out on the polar plates of the middle group, the polar plates of the big group and the small group perform mutual group distribution according to the ratio of 1:1, and a negative polar plate is selected from the middle group; and (4) after group distribution, ensuring the weight deviation of each polar group does not exceed 1%. After the batteries are prepared by the group distribution method of the invention, the proportion of a positive active material to a negative active material and the consistency of acid absorption saturation of a partition plate are high, the consistency of float charge voltage of the standby batteries can be improved by more than one time, and the float charge service life can be improved to more than 10 years.
