Distributed network synchronization system

A distributed synchronization system for use in each node of a distributed asynchronous telecommunications network system that continually monitors and controls the flow of data through an implementing node to prevent dataflow errors due to phase and frequency differences in source and destination nodal clocks, and to control inter-nodal network latency so as to support the transmission of synchronous data. A synchronization data FIFO buffers predetermined fields or portions of fields of a unique frame packet received from a source node before retransmission to a destination node on the network. The frame packet includes a frame synchronization field indicating the beginning of a new frame packet; a payload field containing valid data; and a dead zone field providing bandwidth during which the present invention performs synchronization functions. A frame synchronization subsystem, implemented in a designated master node, guarantees that a frame is released at the beginning of an independently-determined frame regardless of network latency. A word resynchronization subsystem manages the flow of data through the data FIFO of each non-master node, receiving and storing data at the source node's clock rate and transmitting the data according to its own clock, thereby guaranteeing the efficient receipt and transmission of data between asynchronously-communicating nodes.

By a production method for producing a multilayer ceramic electronic device including dielectric layers and internal electrode layers comprising the steps of forming a green sheet to be said dielectric layer after firing, forming a pre-fired electrode layer to be said internal electrode layer after firing in a predetermined pattern on said green sheet by using a conductive material paste, forming a green chip by successively stacking said green sheets and said pre-fired electrode layers, and firing said green chip: wherein the conductive material paste for forming said pre-fired electrode layer is composed at least of conductive material particles, a first common material composed of ceramic powder and a second common material composed of ceramic powder having a larger average particle diameter than that of said first common material; an average particle diameter of said first common material is 1/20 to ½ of an average particle diameter of said conductive material particles; and the average particle diameter of said second common material is 1/10 to ½ of an average thickness of said internal electrode layers after firing; a multilayer ceramic electronic device, such as a multilayer ceramic capacitor, wherein arising of cracks is effectively prevented, having a low short-circuit defect rate, a low voltage resistance defect rate and high capacitance is produced.

Device to control or regulate the basis weight of a paper or cardboard web

Paper or cardboard machine and method for regulating a basis weight of a paper or cardboard web in the manufacturing process. The paper or cardboard machine includes at least one headbox that extends across a machine width. The at least one headbox is adapted to provide a machine-wide distribution of a material suspension onto one of a screen and between two screens. The machine also includes at least one material suspension supply coupled to the at least one headbox and adapted to supply a material suspension to the at least one headbox. The at least one material suspension supply has at least one concentration. At least one first control loop is provided that includes at least one actuator being adapted to adjust the at least one concentration of the at least one material suspension supply, at least one detector for determining a basis weight of a finished web, at least one supply being adapted to modify the at least one concentration of the at least one material suspension supply, and at least one device that adjusts the at least one actuator. In this manner, the at least one concentration of the at least one material suspension supply is adjusted. At least one second control loop is provided that is adapted to regulate the concentration of the material suspension supply. The method includes determining a basis weight at an end of the manufacturing process, calculating a deviation of the determined basis weight from a predetermined target value, adjusting a concentration of a material suspension supplied to a headbox via a first control loop such that the calculated deviation is corrected, one of directly and indirectly measuring a basis weight of a resulting web in a region upstream, with regard to a web travel direction, a drying section, and supplying a signal related to the measured basis weight to a second control loop.

A device (10) for extracting and feeding sheets from two trays, comprising a first tray (20) to contain a first ream (21a) of sheets (21), a second tray (30) to contain a second ream (31a) of sheets (31), and a feeding member (50, 53, 53a, 53b) for extracting and feeding one sheet (21, 31) at a time from said first ream (21a) or from said second ream (31a), wherein the two trays (20, 30) are positioned one on top of the other on the same side of the feeding member (50), and the second tray (30), in an intermediate position between the first tray (20) and the feeding member (50), comprises a fixed wall (32, 32a, 32b), to support the second ream (31a), which is configured in order to define an opening or cooperation zone (41) between the first tray (20) and the feeding member (50), so that, when the second ream is not present in the second tray (30) the feeding member (50, 53, 53a) and the first ream (21a) are intended to cooperate in contact with each other, through said cooperation zone (41) in order to extract and feed a sheet (21) from the first ream (21a) contained in the first tray (20). The device of the invention has a compact, inexpensive structure and is realised with a limited number of parts, and guarantees an accurate and silent functioning, reliable in time.
