Suspension control system

In a suspension control system, accelerations detected by acceleration sensors are differentiated by a differentiator to calculate acceleration derivative values. Based on these values, a target electrical current calculating section calculates a target electrical current that is supplied to an actuator which controls a damping force of a damper. Before a rolling or pitch angle occurs in the vehicle, the change of the rolling or pitch angle is predicted to control the damping force of the damper, thereby improving the response of rolling angle and pitch angle control to achieve, simultaneously, an accurate posture control and a satisfactory riding comfort. Because the target electrical current calculating section corrects the target electrical current of the actuator based on a damper speed obtained by differentiating a damper displacement, even when a large input is applied to the damper due to an unevenness of the road surface, a proper posture control is performed.

Method and device for controlling pump torque for hydraulic construction machine

A current load rate of an engine 10 is computed and a maximum absorption torque of at least one hydraulic pump 1, 2 is controlled so that the load rate is held at a target value. Engine stalling can be prevented by decreasing the maximum absorption torque of the hydraulic pump under a high-load condition. When an engine output lowers due to environmental changes, the use of poor fuel or other reasons, the maximum absorption torque of the hydraulic pump can be decreased without a lowering of the engine revolution speed. Further, the present invention is adaptable for any kinds of factors causing a lowering of the engine output, such as those factors that cannot be predicted in advance or are difficult to detect by sensors. In addition, because of no necessity of sensors, such as environment sensors, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.

Method and apparatus for controlling the valve position of a variable orifice flow meter

A device for metering fluid flow is disclosed. The device includes a variable sized orifice defined by a fluid flow conduit and an element movable relative to the fluid flow conduit to vary a size of the orifice, a pressure sensor configured to determine a pressure differential across the orifice and generate a pressure signal, a positioning device configured to determine a position of the element relative to the conduit and generate a position signal, and a processor configured to determine the fluid flow rate using the pressure signal and the position signal. The system can directly control the adjustable valve or orifice. Alternatively, the system can move back and forth between a direct mode and a PID mode. When in a PID mode, the system employs a standard PID algorithm with a variable gain term. The system switches to direct mode when it is advantageous for the controller to directly change the valve position based upon the setpoint, and the input and output pressures.

Control apparatus using time proportioning control

A control apparatus used in a control system in which the cycle time of a time proportioning signal is long, for example, a temperature control system using a cooler. Even if a manipulation value MV with respect to the cooler is drastically changed along with change of a control target value SP, the activation timing of a time proportioning output section is reset with the changing timing, so that a time proportioning signal Ton is newly generated. Alternatively, with the changing timing, the time proportioning output section is reactivated to generate the deficiency of the time proportioning signal Ton according to an increasing amount of the manipulation value MV. As a result, the time proportioning signal Ton is changed with an excellent follow-up ability.

Vehicular driving force distribution device

In a vehicular driving force distribution system, a left or right torque distribution clutch is selectively engaged to lock a carrier member or a sun gear of a planetary gear mechanism, whereby torque can be distributed between left and right wheels. Also, if a differential limitation clutch is engaged to control relative rotation of the sun gear and the carrier member of the planetary gear mechanism, the planetary gear mechanism enters a locked state, so that the left and right wheels are integrated to perform differential limitation. By the arrangement of merely providing the differential limitation clutch, the differential limitation can be performed by simple control and moreover the control response is improved, as compared with the case where differential limitation is performed by controlling engagement forces of the left and right torque distribution clutches.
