Rotation control device of working machine

In a neutral range preset, there are set a zone for stopping and holding a rotating body only by a mechanical brake, a zone for holding the body only by performing position holding control, and a zone for simultaneously exerting both effects, i.e., the effect of the mechanical brake and the effect of the holding control. On-the-spot holding torque generated when the position holding control is performed is stored. The higher of the on-the-spot holding torque stored and accelerating torque according to an operation amount of the body at a rotation starting time is set as electric motor torque for acceleration. When performing a pressing work including pressing a bucket against an object for work, torque control is carried out according to the operation amount.

Method and apparatus for controlling a contiuously variable transmission

A method of controlling the ratio of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that is controlled by a CVT controller is provided. The method includes determining the torque produced by an engine, calculating an acceleration limit value based upon the torque value and the engine inertia value and a calibrated acceleration limiting ratio. The acceleration limit value is compared to the desired engine speed value to determine a command engine speed value. The CVT ratio is then calculated by dividing the command engine speed value by a measured vehicle speed value. The calculated CVT ratio is compared to a measured CVT ratio and a control signal is sent to an actuator of a CVT. Torque provided to the engine to overcome the engine inertia is limited by the method so that the step change in torque provided to the vehicle wheels, as the engine approaches the command engine speed value, is reduced.

Device for storing projectile balls and feeding them into the projectile chamber of a hand gun

The invention relates to a device for feeding ball-like ammunition, so-called paint balls, into the projectile chamber of a sporting arm. The magazine is arranged separately from the arm and is connected to same by means of a feeder tube. A motor-driven feeder feeds the balls from the ball container into the feeder tube. In so doing, a spring element stores the traction from the motor, so that, even when the motor stops, balls can still be transported using the energy stored in the spring element. The traction from the motor is transmitted via a connection or clutch consisting of a spring element and a transmission element. Protrusions are arranged on both the spring element and the transmission element, which come to bear on each other for transmitting traction. The protrusions are at least partially flexible, so that the transmitted force is limited. This way, explosion of the balls from excessive pressure is prevented. In addition, the feeder is connected with the drive element for the feeder, which is under pressure from the spring, by means of a bayonet-like connection. This way, the feeder can be removed from the ball container with one manipulation to facilitate the cleaning of the ball container in the event a ball explodes in spite of this.

Automatic spotter with electronic control system for pile driving and continuous flight auger drilling leads

A lifting device such as a mobile crane having a main body and a boom, such as a lattice boom, for supporting a pile lead for, e.g., pile driving or continuous flight auger drilling, and a method of using same. A hydraulically operated mechanical spotter arm may be attached between the device body and the pile lead. Electronic position sensors on the spotter arm may be used to measure angular relationships between the pile lead and the spotter arm. Position sensors on a boom box on the boom may also be used. When the pile lead is swung, information from the sensors may be used by an electronic control system to automatically maintain the pile lead in a desirable position, limiting torque induced in the boom. The boom box position sensors may be used to counter-steer the spotter arm to further limit torque. The boom box may also be fitted with rubber springs to permit controlled pile lead deflection while limiting load transmitted to the boom. Other aspects of the invention will become apparent from the disclosure.

Drive Control Device For Hybrid Vehicle

Due to the reduction of a discharge amount of a mechanical oil pump by a lowering of the idling rotation speed, a slip in a hydraulic power transmission apparatus and a blow up of an electric motor for running due to a delay of the rising of the oil pressure upon the sudden start and the like are prevented. While avoiding the slip and the blow up, the idling rotation speed is lowered so as to make the engine noise small. When the return determination from the idling state is performed based on the shift operation from P to D, at step S5, a torque TMG2 of a second motor / generator MG2 is temporarily restricted. As a result, upon the sudden start from the idling state, even when the rising of the oil pressure delays, the second brake B2 engaged upon the starting is prevented from slipping, and the second motor / generator MG2 is prevented from blowing up. As a result, while avoiding the slip of the second brake B2 and the blow up of the second motor / generator MG2 due to the hydraulic response delay, an idling rotation speed N Eidl is lowered so that the engine noise can be reduced.

Self-drilling screw for use with steel sheets

The main body (2) of a self-drilling screw has a driven head (9) having at its top central region a weld lug (10) of a prescribed size. The screw also has a discrete drive head (3) having in its top a hole (11) for engagement with a driving tool. A thinned stud (12) continuing from the drive head (3) is resistance welded to the top center of driven head (9), using the weld lug (10) to form between these heads a torque-limiting junction (13) ready to break at a prescribed torque. As the main body (2) of the screw for use with thin steel sheets is tightened, the drive head (3) will be removed due to breakage of the junction (13). Any excessive tightening torque imparted to the screw will not break a female-threaded hole formed in the steel sheet, but firmly retaining the screw on it.

Method and circuit arrangement for checking the rotor position of a synchrounous machine

A method for validating a vehicle-to-X message, in which the message is received by an antenna arrangement having a least two antenna elements connected with a communication device. An electromagnetic field strength of the message is recorded based on different reception characteristics with different power densities, wherein the message includes an absolute position of a transmitter, and an absolute position of a receiver determined on the basis of global satellite navigation or on a map comparison. A first relative position of the transmitter is calculated from the absolute positions of the receiver and the transmitter. A second relative position is calculated from the ratio of the power densities or read out from a reference diagram. If a comparison of the first and second relative positions reveals a large degree of correspondence, the message is validated, and if a large degree of deviation is detected, the message is rejected.

Drive train for a motor vehicle and method for operating such a drive train

In a method for operating a drive train for a motor vehicle, a torque is produced by means of an internal combustion engine as a function of an available torque set value signal and transmitted to drive wheels by means of a clutch. With the help of an electric motor, a closing force is applied, with which the clutch is held in a closed position against a restoring force. The electric motor is energized in such a way that a high current is used in the case of a high torque and a lower current is used in the case of a lower torque. The thermal load of the electric motor is determined and a load signal corresponding to the thermal load is produced. The load signal is compared with a load limit signal assigned to a permissible load range. If the load signal deviates from the load-limit signal, the torque of the internal combustion engine is limited.
