2 results about "Paecilomyces variotii" patented technology

Paecilomyces variotii is a common environmental mold that is widespread in composts, soils and food products. It is known from substrates including food, indoor air, wood, soil and carpet dust. Paecilomyces variotii is the asexual state of Byssochlamys spectabilis, a member of the Phylum Ascomycota (Family Trichocomaceae). However, the Byssochlamys state is rarely observed in culture due to the heterothallic nature of this species (i.e., it requires culturing of positive and negative strains in co-culture to produce the teleomorph). Paecilomyces variotii is fast growing, producing powdery to suede-like in colonies that are yellow-brown or sand-colored. It is distinguishable from microscopically from similar microfungi, such as the biverticillate members of the genus Penicillium (affiliated with the genus Talaromyces) by its broadly ellipsoidal to lemon-shaped conidia, loosely branched conidiophores and phialides with pointed tips. Ascospores of the sexual state, B. spectabilis, are strongly heat-resistant. As such, the fungus is a common contaminant of heat-treated foods and juices. It is also known from decaying wood and creosote-treated wood utility poles. Paecilomyces variotii has been associated with a number of infective diseases of humans and animals. It is also an important indoor environmental contaminant.

Paecilomyces variotii in improving salt-alkali stress resistance of wheat and a wheat planting method in saline-alkali land

PendingCN122320041ABiotechnologyPaecilomyces variotii
This invention discloses the application of *Penicillium wani* in improving wheat's resistance to salt-alkali stress and a method for planting wheat in saline-alkali land, belonging to the field of crop cultivation technology. This invention has the advantages of simple operation, rapid processing, and excellent results. The specific method is as follows: during the sowing period, wheat seeds are treated with a low concentration (1 μg / ml) of *Penicillium wani* solution. This treatment can improve wheat's resistance to salt stress at concentrations up to 0.3% and salt-alkali stress at 75 mM (pH 9.2), thereby increasing wheat yield. This invention is applicable to the cultivation of wheat and other crops and has broad prospects for widespread application.

Application of paecilomyces variotii in lactic acid degradation

ActiveCN115820426BFungiAlcoholic beverage preparationBiotechnologyPaecilomyces variotii
The application belongs to the technical field of brewing, and relates to application of Paecilomyces wanensis in lactic acid degradation and a method for degrading lactic acid, which comprises the step of adding Paecilomyces wanensis to a fermentation substrate. The application utilizes the mold Paecilomyces wanensis to degrade lactic acid in the fermentation substrate and achieves a good lactic acid degradation effect, further enriches the role of molds in the stacking stage of the solid-state fermentation process of baijiu, provides a reference for the mechanism research of microbial action in the baijiu brewing process, and the strain used is screened from the fermentation environment of fermented grains and does not affect the brewing process.
