The method comprises that (S1) channel addresses of standard characteristic peaks in the gammapower spectrum are obtained via a gamma reference source whose energy is known, equal shadow areas are taken in the left and right sides of each standard characteristic peak, and the absolute value ofthe difference between the areas in the left and right sides of the standard characteristic peak is minimal; (S2) in a channel address interval calibrated by shadows, a difference DeltaN between theshadow areas of the two sides of the characteristic peak in a spectral line to be detected as well as the sum N of the shadow areas in the two sides is calculated, and a relative deviation variable, of three peak total counting rate, eta=DeltaN / N; (S3) the relative deviation variable eta of the three peak total counting rate is compared with a spectrum drift threshold epsilon, and the drift condition of the spectral line to be detected is determined; and (S4) the magnitude of the spectrum drift is calculated, a corresponding control word is obtained, and the high voltage of a detector or the amplification multiple of a spectrum amplifier is adjusted to stabilize the spectrum. The method can be used to measure the low-activity gamma power spectrum, reduce the system error of spectrum stabilization and improve the accuracy of spectrum stabilization.
