The method comprises the following steps of (1) chest displacement assessment, wherein a low-pass filter is applied to pre-processed phase flow data to eliminate noise generated fromthe environment and multiple paths, a distance and phase conversion formula is used for deducing the relative displacement of a chest label, and the relative displacement of the chest label is calibrated; (2) motion error elimination, wherein a reference label is additionally added to the lower portion of the neck of each user to eliminate baseline drift generated by phase flow when the upper body of each user slightly moves in the measurement period; (3) establishment of a relation between chest displacement and the respiratory capacity, wherein a BP neural network is used for establishing arelation model between multi-point displacement of the chest and the respiratory capacity in the single-time respiration period. According to the system, under the condition of not disturbing the users, the respiratory capacity of multiple users can be monitored for a long time, and accordingly the basis is provided for monitoring and diagnosis of some respiratory tract diseases.
