Compositions comprising specific disodium hexahydrophthalate(HHPA) salts in combination with acid scavengers (such as organic calcium salts or dihydrotalcite complexes) that provide highly desirable and effective nucleating properties within polymer articles (such as polyolefins) are provided. Surprisingly, such a combination of HHPA salt and acid scavenger provides high crystallization temperatures, low haze, and / or high flexural modulus to the finished polymer product. Other sodium salt polymer nucleators (such as sodium benzoate) deleteriously react with calcium organic salt acid scavengers such that characteristically high crystallization temperatures are drastically reduced when in combination with calcium salts (such as calcium stearate). Also, sodium benzoate when combined with dihydrotalcite acid scavengers produce extremely high haze levels in the finished target polymer article, whereas the inventive compositions surprisingly reduce haze. The finished polymer articles comprising such an inventive composition are also contemplated within this invention.

A vessel is loaded with a general fuel (C-heavy oil) tank (3) and a low-sulfur fuel (A-heavy oil) tank (4). In the exhaust line of an engine (1), an SCR catalyst (10) of a urea water spray type is arranged and a bypass exhaust pipe (16) in which the exhaust gas passes not through the SCR catalyst (10) is also arranged. An automatic vessel-position detecting means (B) and a restriction map are collated to compute the distance to the sea area of a restriction target automatically. On the arrival at the restriction-target sea area, the function of the SCR catalyst (10) is stopped by changing the fuel automatically from the general fuel to the low-sulfur fuel and by discharging the exhaust gas to the bypass exhaust pipe (16). The change of the exhaust gas purifying state is automatically made.

A method for recovering rare earth, vanadium and nickel from waste vanadium-nickel catalysts, comprising steps of: acid leaching, by soaking waste vanadium-nickel catalysts into a sulfuric acid solution and obtaining a mixture containing alumina silica slag; sedimentation, by filtering out the alumina silica slag from the mixture to obtain a filtrate, and then adding a salt into the filtrate to precipitate rare earth followed by isolating a sediment of rare earth double salts and a liquid solution via filtration; and extraction, by providing and adding an alkali into the sediment of rare earth double salts followed by further soaking the rare earth double salts in an acid solution to precipitate rare earth, and adding an oxidizer into the liquid solution to adjust the pH value thereof and then extracting vanadium and nickel from the liquid solution via an ion-exchange resin.

The pressure sensitive adhesive backs the thin polymer film and includes corrosion-inhibiting additives. These corrosion-inhibiting additives reduce or eliminate the need for a chromated primer layer beneath the appliqué. Elimination of a chromated primer layer has environmental advantages as well as cost benefits through the elimination of a processing step. Additionally, environmental benefits are realized by eliminating the toxic effects often associated with the use of chromated primers.

Said air chamber comprises a support structure for a removable stainless steel work surface positioned at an optimal distance below an air inlet, said air inlet having a negative pressure created by a blower attached to an exhaust duct which draws undesirable noxious fumes from said air inlet through said chamber past a screen into a plenum and out the exhaust. The positioning of said work surface to air inlet provides improved capture performance. Primary and secondary drains are provided for the removal of fluids generated by the dissection process, as well as the facilitation of basic cleaning. The table is made of stainless steel to aid cleaning and is sized for ease of transfer and mobility via size and weight.

Novel approach to cost effective carbon capture from air by producing carbon negative water

The invention relates to integrated methods for direct capture of carbon dioxide and water from the atmosphere and their conversion into value-added products in an economical and carbon negative fashion. In one embodiment of the present invention, a portion of the water captured in a DAC process is treated, bottled, and sold as value-added drinking water, thereby offsetting the cost of the capture process. Preferably the drinking water is bottled in low carbon footprint packaging to offer cost benefit while maintaining overall carbon neutrality or negativity. In other embodiments of the invention, a portion of the captured water is split by photovoltaic electrolysis into hydrogen and oxygen as further value-added products. In other embodiments of the present invention, a portion of the captured carbon dioxide is chemically reduced, preferably utilizing hydrogen from the aforementioned photovoltaic-electrolysis process, to produce methanol for use as a carbon-advantaged fuel.

The execution engine is clocked at a first rate and the memory controller is clocked at a second rate that is less than the first rate. Thus, an overall electronic system is formed having a board with no more than two conductive layers, an execution engine that receives a first clock signal, a memory controller which receives a second clock signal, and a memory device that sends data to and from the memory controller at twice the rate of the second clock signal. Using a throttled second clock signal allows for less expensive packaging and mounting of packaged integrated circuits on a less expensive PCB, while still maintaining use of a DDR DRAM transfer mechanism.

An improved composition for recovering bitumen from oil sands is used in the traditional “hot water” extraction process. An aliquot of a solvent mixture is mixed with bitumen ore and water. A pH builder is added and following mixing primary and secondary froths are recovered. The solvent mixture contains a monoterpene, nonionic surfactant, a short chain alcohol and a short chain ketone. Primary and secondary froth recovery is at least 80% at temperatures of about 35° C. Only very small amounts of solvent are used, and all solvents are biodegradable.

Integrated processes and apparatuses for upgrading a hydrocarbon feedstock

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for upgrading a hydrocarbon feedstream comprising passing the hydrocarbon feedstream to a first hydroprocessing reactor in a reaction vessel to produce a first hydroprocessed effluent stream.
