Therapeutic method and apparatus

An energy therapy device is provided that utilizes an array of energy-emitting elements to stimulate Qi energy flow along acupuncture meridians. Energy-emitting elements are activated and deactivated sequentially to produce an energy wave. The energy wave is brought into contact with, or in close proximity to, anatomical sites on a patient's body that have underlying acupuncture meridians. The energy wave produced by the energy therapy device stimulates the flow of Qi energy resulting in a number of therapeutic benefits including pain relief, and reduction of inflammation.

Water treatment using magnetic and other field separation technologies

Apparatus and methods for removal of pollutants from a stream of water, by binding the pollutant particles to magnetic seeding particles using a flocculating polymer, and then removing the composite magnetic particles from the water stream in a simple and efficient apparatus. The invention is applicable to many common water treatment applications but is especially important for high flow applications requiring efficiency and simplicity. Magnetic fields concentrate the composite magnetic particles in a stratified layer that is then continually separated from the moving stream of water. In another preferred embodiment, vortex separation is combined with magnetic separation to enhance magnetic seed material cleaning and to reduce the solids load on the final magnetic collector.

Gas recovery apparatus, method and cycle having a three chamber evacuation phase and two liquid extraction phases for improved natural gas production

Natural gas produced from a well by executing a multiple-phase gas recovery cycle which includes a phase during which a relatively lower evacuation pressure is applied within three chambers in the well to assist in accumulating liquids at a well bottom, followed by a liquid reduction phase which clears the liquid from two of the chambers while leaving the liquid in the third chamber. The remaining liquid is thereafter lifted in subsequent liquid capture and liquid removal phases. The liquid reduction phase clears the fluid from the well more effectively with less interruption in the production of gas from the well while maintaining the full gas productivity of the well.

Apparatus and method for necking container ends

A container necking tool, and corresponding method, for necking an aluminum beverage can is disclosed that includes a punch sleeve that is longitudinally fixed in relation to a necking die. The sleeve and die form a gap therebetween, into which a pusher assembly pushes the container to produce the neck on a necking contour surface. The necking tool also includes a punch body that has a longitudinal air passage therethrough. A plenum is formed between the punch body and sleeve to angularly distribute compressed air around the sleeve. Compressed air pressurizes the container during necking stage, and is diverted to the gap while the can is disengaged from the necking tool to keep the gap clean of debris.

Moldable heater with Miniature Resonant Frequency Vibration Generator for Ophthalmic Eyelid Therapy

A combined eyelid warming device, resonance frequency generator, coupling device, and tissue response sensor are disclosed in the field of use in dry eye treatment. These combined devices are used to ensure that the entire eyelid surface and periorbital structures receive defined therapeutic warmth and appropriately tuned harmonic resonance frequency for a required period of time to stimulate flow from the Meibomian glands. The combined elements of the invention include an easily moldable heating disc, targeted formulation of the heating material, miniaturized resonant frequency vibrating generator combined with a properly designed reusable mask, to ensure precise location of the heat. Vibration may be delivered continuously or intermittently, and may be delivered according to one or more patterns. A chemical sensor is included to characterize flow as vibration is varied. The external energy source allows for circuitry in the external power module to act as a sweep range device, targeting the specific optimally tuned point or sweep frequency the individual patients body reacts to during initial use. The initial testing device supplied to the Doctor for treatment would include sensing elements to determine the optimal harmonic resonance frequency. Once the frequency is defined, the patient would receive a kit with custom harmonic resonant frequency vibrating generators set to their optimum parameters. This configuration would be amenable to both single use and reusable heater approaches.

Animal Litter and Litter Box System

ActiveUS20210051916A1Minimizes odorMinimizes messAnimal housingLiquid wasteLitter (animal)
A pelletized, environmentally friendly animal litter. The animal litter includes birch bark waste in pellet form that is mostly hydrophobic to allow liquid waste to quickly pass therethrough while trapping a small amount of waste therein that adheres to the surface of the pellet and is then absorbed over time. The litter is used in a litter box system that includes a base, a drawer slidably received therein for capturing waste in a preferred absorbent pad and a removeable grate suspended thereover for retaining the litter thereover. The drawer defines a container of sufficient volume to receive all of the litter when a standard amount of litter is used to fill the box which improves ease in changing litter by removing the grate and allowing the litter to drop into the drawer.

Suction connection for dual centrifugal compressor refrigeration systems

A dual centrifugal compressor refrigeration system has one evaporator for both compressors. The evaporator provides the centrifugal compressors with refrigerant vapor through separate suction connections for each compressor. Each suction connection has a protrusion that extends into the evaporator vessel to disturb the axial flow of refrigerant vapor in the evaporator vessel. The disturbance of the axial flow of refrigerant vapor in the evaporator vessel permits a surging compressor to draw refrigerant vapor in order to recover from the surge condition.

Device for venting odors from a toilet bowl

The present disclosure is directed to an adapter and base plate that may be retrofitted to existing industry standard toilets to provide a capability to vent foul odors from bodily waste deposited into the toilet bowl. The toilet includes a bowl having flush holes disposed around a rim of the bowl for discharging water into the bowl, a water tank for containing a volume of water sufficient to cause the toilet to flush when the volume of water is discharged into the bowl, a flush and refill mechanism for flushing and then refilling the toilet, the flush mechanism controlling a flush valve that covers a drain at the bottom of the water tank. The bowl also includes a water feed conduit connecting the drain to the holes around the rim of the bowl. The adapter is fitted between the water tank and bowl with a first opening receiving the flush valve and a second opening connected to an exhaust fan by plumbing. By means of a gap between flush valve and adapter's first opening exhaust fan is in fluid communications with flush holes disposed around the rim of bowl. Activation of exhaust fan will draw foul odors through flush holes, water feed conduit, adapter, plumbing, and exhaust fan to an appropriate outside destination. Adapter, being of simple construction with angled sides so as to prevent the pooling of water, is incapable of supporting the water tank thus requiring a base plate that surrounds the adapter to support the water tank. The base plate may be translucent to allow LED lighting mounted to adapter to be cast about the bowl.
