A wind turbine active damping arrangement for damping forces exerted on a component connected to a main shaft of a wind turbine is proposed. The damping arrangement comprises a smart fluid damper and a control device for controlling a field generator of the smart fluid damper to control the extent of damping according to a performance parameter of the wind turbine. The smart fluid damper comprises a closed chamber containing a smart fluid and a piston. The piston travels along a direction in the chamber and comprises a channel through which the smart fluid can flow. The smart fluid damper comprises a field generator for generating a field across the smart fluid and an input for a field generator control signal for controlling the field generator to alter the field according to the performance parameter of the wind turbine.

A shelter for a motor vehicle or other movable object is moved from a fully retracted position to a fully deployed position by a combination of linear and pivotal movement. The shelter includes a frame assembly including parallel rails with pole holding subassemblies mounted on and movable along the rails. Arched poles with a collapsible canopy covering the poles are mounted on the pole holders, and linear movement of one pole holder on each rail will pull or push the poles into position because the poles are connected by the canopy. A method and apparatus for embossing the sidewalls of heavy gauge sheet metal containers involves clamping over a top edge of an opening into the container using a press carrying complementary embossing dies. When a slide door is half opened, a wire harness bends convexly downward, and one portion thereof is positioned lower than when the slide door is fully open or fully closed. Specifically, the wire harness is bent three-dimensionally. This makes it easier for the wire harness to be pulled out from a bottom end of door trim, and makes it possible for interference between the wire harness and the door trim to be minimized. Using a more durable and flexible material for the fill block and insert sheet increases the lifetime of both components and reduces or eliminates the tendency of these components to stress crack.
