1451 results about "Electric distribution network" patented technology

The electric distribution network is a power delivery system consisting of cables that deliver electric power from its point of generation to the end users. Electrical distribution systems are primarily designed to meet the consumer's demands for energy. This is achieved by taking energy from primary substations and delivering it to various customer substations through either underground cables or above ground lines. Because of the lack of space, some cities and towns primarily rely more on underground cables and rural areas lean more towards overhead lines. Choosing between underground or above grounds methods can depend on how much protection and control can be provided. When it comes to choosing which method is best for the area, there are three components of planning that are taken into consideration: long term planning, network planning, and construction planning. Long term planning refers to thinking ahead, or in other words, thinking of the future. There are some questions that should be taken into account when using this method, for instance, if there was a new establishment that needed an energy supply, would there be an easy fix to add on to the network?

Method and system for detecting and locating single-phase ground fault on low current grounded power-distribution network

A method and system for detecting and locating a single-phase ground fault on a low current grounded power-distribution network, comprising: respectively testing and picking up the voltage signals and current signals at multiple positions on each phase feeder (61), and determining the corresponding transient voltage signals and transient current signals according to the extraction of the voltage signals and the current signals (62); when the change in the transient voltage signals and the transient current signals exceeds a preset threshold (63), synchronously picking up the voltage signals and current signals at multiple positions on a three-phase feeder (64); calculating corresponding zero-sequence voltages and zero-sequence currents according to the voltage signals and current signals synchronously picked up at multiple positions on the three-phase feeder (65), and then extracting the steady-state signal and transient signal of the zero-sequence voltage and zero-sequence current at each position on the three-phase feeder (66); and determining a specific fault location on a faulty line according to the steady-state signal and the transient signal (67). The method effectively detects and displays a single-phase ground fault on a low current grounded power-distribution network.

DG (distributed generation)-containing power distribution network distributed protection and control method

The invention discloses a DG (distributed generation)-containing power distribution network distributed protection and control method, and provides a protection and control technical method based on an AFTU (advanced feeder terminal unit) for the phenomenon that the high-permeability distributed power access power distribution network causes great difficulties in traditional power distribution protection and control. The method disclosed by the invention divides the DG-containing power distribution network into multiple areas capable of running as islands in advance according to the DG capacity and load. Circuit breakers and AFTUs are arranged at the feeder outlet, the DG access position and the area boundary, and the AFTUs are connected through an optical network. Each AFTU detects local electric quantity information in real time and performs information interaction with other AFTUs. The method disclosed by the invention quickly positions the fault section according to the local and neighbor electric quantity information, and realizes the fault isolation and island running. A reclosing and island network re-connection control strategy is designed by use of the related AFTU information.
