The invention discloses an in-
phase locking device and method of an ultra-low
phase noise dual-frequency photo-generated
microwave source. The device comprises an active optical loop, a
radio frequency gain link and a frequency division and
phase synchronization control unit. The active optical loop comprises an
optical amplifier, an
optical isolator, an optical filtering unit, an optical
delay unit and an electro-optical modulation unit, and is used for generating high-coherence optical signals. The
radio frequency gain link comprises an
optical detector, a
microwave filter, a
radio frequency amplifier and a phase regulation and
control unit, and is used for converting an optical
signal into a high-frequency
microwave signal. And the frequency division and
phase synchronization control unit performs frequency division on the high-frequency microwave
signal, and locks the phase of the low-frequency microwave signal obtained by frequency division to the high-frequency microwave signal through a phase-locked loop formed by the
frequency mixer, the reference source and the
servo feedback unit. According to the invention, the high-Q-value optical
delay unit is utilized to suppress
phase noise, and through an integrated
phase locking design, phase-synchronous dual-frequency and ultra-low
phase noise microwave signal output is realized, and the problem that phases of two independent microwave sources are not synchronous is solved.
