The invention relates to a fluorescent screening
system including a
white light source
exciter, a
first light filter piece set, a second
light filter piece set, a
CCD camera and a lens. The
white light source
exciter emits a
white light source which is then transported to the
first light filter piece set. Both the
first light filter piece set and the second
light filter piece set respectively includes a plurality of different band-pass
light filter pieces. Each band-pass light filter piece allows the
light source signals in corresponding wavebands to pass while
light source signals in other wavebands are filtered away. Under control of a light
filter wheel, the first light filter piece set selects one light filter piece according to screening demand of fluorescent proteins in different wavelengths. The white
light source, when being filtered through the light filter piece, selects excited light in required
wavelength. The selected excited light then is transported to a sample to excite a fluorescent
signal. The second light filter piece set selects one light filter piece under control of the light
filter wheel, so that the fluorescent
signal can pass through the light filter piece in the second light filter piece set to remove
stray light signals. The fluorescent
signal finally is collected by means of the lens to complete
fluorescent imaging with the
CCD camera.
