The icemelting agent is prepared from, by weight, 15-20 parts of modified multi-walled carbon nanotubes, 24-28 parts of epoxy resin, 30-35 parts of carbamide, 10-16 parts of sodium acetate, 20-25 parts of 1,2-propanediol, 12-18 parts of glycerol, 5-8 parts of glycerol monolaurate, 6-10 parts of a corrosion inhibitor and 41-45 parts of water. The multi-walled carbon nanotubes are modified, and then are compounded with the epoxy resin, carbamide, sodium acetate and the corrosion inhibitor are added, and all above components synergistically act, so the obtained solid granular ice melting agent has excellent comprehensive performances, still has a high ice melting rate in a low temperature environment, has a freezing point of -35 DEG C or below, has very small damages to roads, electric poles and plants, and can form a hydrophobic film on the surface of the material to protect the material and reduce damages. The ice melting agent plays a great role in the deicing operation of the power transmission lines, is especially suitable for the deicing in outdoor low-temperature environments, and is worthy of promotion.
