A system or method for network access protection executes steps for receiving, at a server, an access request for access to at least one network resource from a client machine, the access request including account authentication information comprising an account identifier and password, obtaining a client machine identifier from the client machine in response to receiving the request for access, and controlling access to the network resource in response to the access request by authorizing access to the network resource for the access request if the client machine identifier matches a registered machine identifier that is registered for use with the account authentication information and the account authentication information matches registered information for a valid account, but denying access to the network resource if the client machine identifier does not match a registered client machine identifier that is registered for use with the account authentication information.

A power control system comprises a plurality of POL regulators, at least one serial data bus operatively connecting the plurality of POL regulators, and a system controller connected to the serial data bus and adapted to send and receive digital data to and from the plurality of POL regulators. A system and method is provided for using a point-on-load (“POL”) control unit to program and/or monitor a POL regulator. Specifically, in one embodiment of the present invention, a power supply controller is adapted to provide initial-configuration data to at least one POL regulator. A POL control unit (located within the POL regulator) then stores at least a portion of the initial-configuration data in a storage device and uses at least a portion of the initial-configuration data to produce an output. The POL control unit is further adapted to store fault-monitoring data in the storage device and provide at least a portion of the fault-monitoring data to the controller. If the provided portion violates a known parameter, the controller (or POL control unit) may respond by perform a particular action (e.g., disable the POL regulator, etc.). In another embodiment of the present invention, the POL regulator further includes at least one sensor circuit adapted to produce fault monitoring data, or data that can be used to determine the fault-monitoring data. In another embodiment of the invention, the initial-configuration data and the fault-monitoring data are transmitted over a serial data bus.

A system and method for controlling the movement of a cursor on a monitor screen are provided. The system comprising at least one remote control unit having a plurality of push buttons for remotely controlling the moving direction of the cursor on the monitor screen; at least one light emitting element for emitting light that indicates a signal generated by the remote control unit; a light detector for extracting the light movement that is transmitted sequentially from the remote control unit; and, a control unit for displaying the moving position of the cursor on the monitor screen corresponding to the extracted movement of the light from the remote control unit, and also adapted to stop the moving position of the cursor upon releasing the push button of the remote control unit. The movement of the cursor on the monitor screen also can be stopped if the light movement transmitted from the remote control unit changes in the opposite direction.

The issuer system may retrieve a merchant public key and a smart contract based on the merchant ID, and a user public key based on the transaction account number. The issuer system may invoke the smart contract by passing the user public key and the transaction ID to the smart contract. The system may propagate transaction data (e.g., the merchant ID, the transaction account number, the payment amount, a transaction status, etc.) to a blockchain network for writing to a blockchain according to the invoked smart contract.

The system may write a message transfer confirmation in response to a message transfer between a consumer system and a provider system, with the confirmation including at least a first hash of the message. The system may also write a message acknowledgement to the blockchain with the acknowledgement including at least a second hash of the message. The blockchain may execute a smart contract to compare the first hash of the message to the second hash of the message to identify an out-of-balance message transfer event. A tester for testing multiconductor cable having a first tester is connectable to a first end of the multiconductor cable. The first tester produces one or more test signals individually on each conductor of the cable. A second tester is connectable to the second end of the cable at a remote location. The second tester monitors each of the plurality of separate conductors to detect the test signals produced by the first tester. Preferably, a first wireless transceiver is provided for the first tester that wirelessly transmits control signals to automatically coordinate testing procedure control. The packaged semiconductor device includes a secondary chip and a primary chip, with the secondary chip communicating with the primary chip through signal drivers. The system also provides a reminder if the alarm is turned off.
