Ferroelectric non-volatile logic elements

Various logic elements such as SR flip-flops, JK flip-flops, D-type flip-flops, master-slave flip-flops, parallel and serial shift registers, and the like are converted into non-volatile logic elements capable of retaining a current output logic state even though external power is removed or interrupted through the strategic addition of ferroelectric capacitors and supporting circuitry. In each case, the building blocks of a cross-coupled sense amplifier are identified within the logic element and the basic cell is modified and / or optimized for sensing performance.

Respiratory disease monitoring system

ActiveUS20110125044A1Easy translationSave them from embarrassmentStethoscopeRespiratory organ evaluationAnesthesiaAsthma
An automated system for monitoring respiratory diseases, such as asthma, provides noninvasive, multimodal monitoring of respiratory signs and symptoms that can include wheeze and cough. Some embodiments employ a mobile device, such as a cell phone, in which raw data from a microphone and an accelerometer are processed, analyzed, and stored. Data can be collected continuously. Time domain and frequency domain analyses of signals to determine, e.g., energy, duration, and spectral content of candidate sounds can be employed to discriminate symptoms of interest from background sounds and to establish significance. Accelerometer signals are analyzed to determine activity levels. Analyses of a user's symptoms and activity level prior to, during, and after an event can provide meaningful determinations of disease severity and predict future respiratory events. The system can provide a summary of data, as well as an alarm when symptom severity reaches a threshold.

Double-shafting fiber interactive equal feeding composite spinning device and technology

The invention relates to a double-shafting fiber interactive equal feeding composite spinning device, technology and application. The device comprises an equal feeding mechanism, a conversion mechanism, and a fiber strand shifting mechanism. The technology for the composite spinning is that endless tows or yarns are a shafting, circumambulate through an upper guide wire and obtain the equal feeding or a trace amount of the equal feeding through a holding roller pair, after that, the endless tows or yarns are randomly or periodically conversed around or move slowly to feed at a jaw of a former top roller through a lower guide wire controlled by a conversion cylinder, and after leaving the jaw of the former top roller, the endless tows or yarns and short fiber strands are gathered to form a double-shafting conversion equal feeding wrapping and core-spun composite spinning under the twisting action, wherein the short fiber strands of another shafting can move around per se. The method is unique and can be implemented easily; and the corresponding device is concise and convenient to install, which can be used for a synchronous conversion equal feeding wrapping and core-spun composite spinning of double-shafting fiber of a ring throstle.
