A color wheel index aligning apparatus for a projection display apparatus and an alignment method thereof. The color wheel index aligning apparatus has a signal supply unit for supplying a predetermined image signal to the display apparatus, a color detection unit for detecting the color of the image signal output to the screen, a storage unit for storing a color coordinate value, and a control unit for measuring the color coordinate of the color detected at the color detection unit based on the color coordinates stored in the storage unit, and using the measured color coordinate value, providing the display apparatus with an alignment value for aligning the color wheel index. Increasing and decreasing the delay time of the output timing of an R, G and B color signal in correspondence with the increase and decrease of the alignment value, the display apparatus automatically adjusts aligns the color wheel index.

Method for converting an analog input signal, and analog-to-digital converter

A method for converting an analog input signal into a digital value with successive approximation. A first comparison operation is provided before a first approximation, which subdivides a predefined input voltage interval into five partial intervals according to four reference potentials. During the comparison operation, a partial voltage interval determined is used in the ensuing approximation for the selection of a new reference potential pair to be used. This method enables higher sampling rates. At the same time, the range of the input signal is increased.

Semiautomatic control system and method for vehicles

The present invention relates to a semiautomatic control system or control method for ensuring a driving method which is as energy-saving as possible. In this system, there is both manual inputting of control data, for example a definition of a vehicle speed specified value, by the driver of the vehicle and automatic determination of the most energy-saving vehicle speed as a function of predefined peripheral conditions, for example a general travel schedule, the topology of a route, vehicle-specific peripheral conditions and the like. An inference system is used to determine which of these two values is smaller, and is therefore used to make possible safe and at the same time energy-saving travel (or journey). Additionally, a safety check of the manual travel speed input value and of the automatically determined travel speed specified value can also be carried out in order to reliably prevent a maximum permissible travel speed value from being exceeded.
