Pair of pressing jaws for hydraulic or electric pressing tool

The invention relates to a pair of pressing jaws for hydraulic or electric pressing tools for pressing fittings onto pipes or for the press connection of electric cables, two pressing jaws connected to one another in an articulated manner forming a pair of pressing jaws, the pressing jaws being biased into their open position by a tension spring which spans a free space between the two pressing jaws, and in each case one end of the tension spring being accommodated in an accommodating opening which opens out into a narrow peripheral side of the pressing jaw, this narrow peripheral side being directed toward the free space, and, in order to secure the tension spring, a tension-spring end engaging around a pin-like securing part, which securing part is disposed at that end of the accommodating opening which is directed away from the free space. In order to secure the tension spring in a functionally advantageous manner, it is provided that the securing part is formed as an integral crosspiece of the pressing jaw.

Rider restraint apparatus

To provide rider restraint means capable of allowing a rider to freely leave a vehicle without a manual release operation when there is no need to restrain the rider to the vehicle. The rider restraint means includes a belt restraining a rider, buckles making the belt detachable, a guide rail making the buckles slidable, a retractor unit controlling the slide of the buckles, and coupling release means releasing coupling between the belt and the buckles in conjunction with the slide of the buckles. The coupling release means includes an inner wire, a wire stopper, and a wire end. The coupling release means releases the coupling between the belt and the buckles when the retractor unit loosens the winding after collision and the buckles slide by a predetermined distance or more or when the rider continues to pull the belt in a state other than collision and the buckles slide by a predetermined distance or more.

Self-locating fastener and method

A method of forming a self-locating fastener includes determining a shape of a first contoured surface and a shape of a second contoured surface. The method continues by determining an offset of the shape of the first contoured surface and an offset of the shape of the second contoured surface. An inner contoured surface of a fastener is formed having a shape based at least in part on the offset of the shape of the first contoured surface. An outer contoured surface of the fastener is formed having a shape based at least in part on the offset of the shape of the second contoured surface. The fastener is operable to self-locate on the first and second contoured surfaces.

Side contact rocker-type switch assembly

An electrical switch assembly is provided for use as a single-pole, double-throw switch. The assembly includes a housing having an interior cavity. First and second stationary contacts are positioned on one side of the interior cavity, and third and fourth stationary contacts are positioned on the other side of the interior cavity. A conductive member is interconnected between the first and third stationary contacts. A movable contact member is configured in one operative position to complete an electrical path between the first and the second stationary contacts, configured in a second operative position to complete an electrical path between the third and the fourth stationary contacts, and configured in an inoperative or OFF position to be electrically disconnected from all four stationary contacts. The improved switch assembly eliminates a center contact disposed in the housing, such that the switch assembly is less cumbersome and costly to manufacture and assemble.

Accelerator pedal module

In transmitters actuated by the driver's foot, which are for controlling the output of a driving engine, a friction element is provided for generating a friction hysteresis for the purpose of achieving a comfortable driving feel. In the accelerator pedal module (1) proposed here, the support of the pedal lever (3) is completely independent of the generation of the friction hysteresis. This results in a particularly favorable, especially stable, and play-free support of the pedal lever (3), and the brake insert (10) for generating the friction hysteresis is particularly easy to manufacture. The accelerator pedal module is provided for controlling the output of a driving engine of a vehicle.
