The method comprises the following steps: acquiring driving data of a vehicle; features of multiple dimensions in the driving data are extracted, and the features are used for representing the thermal runaway state of the power battery of the vehicle; the features of the multiple dimensions are processed through a state evaluation model, a detection result of the vehicle is obtained, the detection result is used for representing whether the vehicle has a thermal runaway phenomenon or not, and the state evaluation model is obtained through machine learning. The technical problem that battery thermal runaway accidents occur frequently due to the fact that early warning of the battery thermal runaway phenomenon is poor in accuracy, not timely enough and poor in real-time performance in the prior art is solved.
