The invention relates to a method for making black colored pottery. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, calcining aged soil which is deposited for thousands of years at the foot of the Shennong mountain into black pottery in a wood kiln, namely, calcining the material to be 800-900 DEG C, performing carburization kiln transmutation when the temperature is reduced to be about 500 DEG C, subsequently opening the kiln, and discharging the pottery; putting the pottery into an air kiln for secondary calcining, namely, raising the temperature to be 900 DEG C in the air kiln firstly, subsequently raising the temperature step by step by using a method that the temperature is highly increased and slightly reduced, that is, raising by 10 DEG C firstly, keeping for 20-40 minutes, reducing the temperature by 5 DEG C, keeping the temperature for 20-40 minutes, raising the temperature by 10 DEG C for another time, keeping for 20-40 minutes, subsequently reducing the temperature by 5 DEG C, keeping for 20-40 minutes, raising the temperature for another time, repeating the operation sequentially till the temperature is 1200 DEG C, turning off an air source, opening the kiln when the temperature is reduced to be less than 100 DEG C, subsequently reducing the temperature to be less than 50 DEG C, and discharging the pottery, thereby obtaining the black colored pottery. The method has the beneficial effects that the defect that the black colored pottery is too rough, and the black colored pottery calcined by using the method is relatively high in density, relatively hard in texture, relatively unique in kiln transmutation, relatively high in artistic value and relatively high in collection.
