The invention provides a convenient lost article recovering system, which comprises a lost article storage box, a lost article query system, and a lost article recovering service website, wherein the lost article storage box is used for storing a lost article picked up by a finder and capable of being stored; and the lost article query system comprises a network control center, a lost article query network, and a mobile phone platform, a computer and a system service terminal connected with the network control center. The invention also provides a convenient lost article recovering method, which comprises steps: the finder processes and reports the lost article; and the owner reports the lost article, queries the lost article and gets the lost article. When an article is lost or picked up, the finder or the owner enters the lost article query network by using a mobile phone or a computer to report the lost article or look for the lost article. After the lost article is queried, lost article getting information is submitted to the system service terminal, and the lost article can be got at a corresponding lost article recovering service website. The system and the method of the invention have the beneficial effects of multiple lost article query modes, good flexibility, high accuracy, simple operation, strong practicability and facilitated promotion.
