Method of locating areas in an image such as a photo mask layout that are sensitive to residual processing effects

Images such as mask layouts, signatures, and photographs are compared to identify similarities or dissimilarities in the images. Descriptions of the images use geometric shapes including lines, rectangles, and triangles to facilitate the comparisons and decrease comparison time and decrease stored data describing the shapes. Data for pixels in the shapes are pre-integrated to reduce arithmetic operations in the comparisons.

Apparatus and method of object tracking

A method of tracking objects on a plane within video images of the objects captured by a video camera. The method includes processing the captured video images so as to extract one or more image features from each object, detecting each of the objects from a relative position of the objects on the plane as viewed from the captured video images by comparing the one or more extracted image features associated with each object with sample image features from a predetermined set of possible example objects which the captured video images may contain; and generating object identification data for each object, from the comparing, which identifies the respective object on the plane. The method further includes generating a three dimensional model of the plane and logging, for each detected object, the object identification data for each object which identifies the respective object on the plane together with object path data. The object path provides a position of the object on the three dimensional model of the plane from the video images with respect to time and relates to the path that each object has taken within the video images. The logging includes detecting an occlusion event in dependence upon whether a first image feature associated with a first of the objects obscures a whole or part of at least a second image feature associated with at least a second of the objects; and, if an occlusion event is detected, associating the object identification data for the first object and the object identification data for the second object with the object path data for both the first object and the second object respectively and logging the associations. The logging further includes identifying at least one of the objects involved in the occlusion event in dependence upon a comparison between the one or more image features associated with that object and the sample image features from the predetermined set of possible example objects, and updating the logged path data after the identification of at least one of the objects so that the respective path data is associated with the respective identified object.

RF-energy modulation system through dynamic coil detuning

An RF-energy modulation system dynamically adjusts tuned receiving circuits within a plurality of slave devices, thereby regulating the level of power reception in each slave device. The slave devices receive power from a single master device, through coupling of a primary antenna in the master device with a secondary antenna in each slave device. The amount of the power received by each slave device is a function of the antenna separation distance, and is thus different at each slave device location. The RF-energy modulation system monitors the power requirements of the slave device within which the modulation system is included, and modulates the tuning of the secondary antenna to maintain the proper power reception level. Advantageously, such modulation controls the power reception by the slave device, versus dissipating energy already received by the slave device. In a preferred embodiment, the RF-energy modulation system controls the power received by a multiplicity of microstimulators implanted in a single patient.

Low-offset and fast-response voltage-controlled current source, control method and power circuit applying voltage-controlled current source

The invention relates to a low-offset and fast-response voltage-controlled current source. In the voltage-controlled current source which is realized by adopting an operational amplifier, an input offset voltage which is larger relative to an input reference voltage is reduced to an acceptable range through use of an automatic zeroing method, and the output error of the voltage-controlled current source is reduced. The slew rate of the operational amplifier is improved by adding a sampling hold circuit so as to realize the fast response of a circuit. The low-offset and fast-response voltage-controlled current source is especially suitable for applications, such as an LED driving circuit, requiring fast response. In addition, the input offset is reduced by adopting the automatic zeroing method, the low input offset of the voltage-controlled current source can be realized by adopting a standard CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconducotr) process, the change of the input offset along with the changes of temperature, time, illumination and irradiation is unnecessarily considered, and the requirement on layout matching is lower, therefore the production cost and time are reduced.
