The invention discloses an ink for a writing pen. The ink comprises the following components by weight percent: 10-20 percent of titanium dioxide, 25-65 percent of a water-based solvent, 10-18 percent of film-forming resin, 0.1-3 percent of a dispersing agent, 0.1-2 percent of a separating agent, 0.3-4 percent of a stripping agent, 0.3-3 percent of a film forming additive, 0.5-3 percent of a suspension additive, 5-10 percent of deionized water, 0.5-1 percent of a dampening additive, 0.5-1 percent of a leveling agent, 0.5-1 percent of an antifoam additive, 0.01-5 percent of a thickening agent, and 0-10 percent of a pigment. The method comprises the following steps: fully dispersing and uniformly mixing the components; putting into a grinding machine to be ground, thereby obtaining the ink for the writing pen. The ink has the characteristics of being nontoxic, harmless, environment-friendly and energy-saving; and a special baseplate is not required when the ink is used. Moreover, the ink has the characteristics of quick film forming, easy erasure, smooth writing, and tidy and clear writing, and is not limited by the air dryness.
