A multi-parameter aggregative indicator forecasting method of a coal petrography dynamic disaster is suitable for forecasting coal petrography dynamic disasters such as outburst of coal and gas and rock bust of coal and gas in a coal mine excavating process. When various index prediction methods are coupled in the same monitoring system, problems such as how to select importance degrees of various indicators and how to determine a critical value of the various indicators are produced. According to amplitude values of four indicators including electromagnetic radiation, slight shock, acoustic emission and gas density, an average value of the amplitude values in a normal level and the maximum value of the amplitude values of the four indicators when the coal petrography dynamic disasters happen at any moment, the multi-parameter aggregative indicator forecasting method of the coal petrography dynamic disaster determines a single indicator hazard index of the four indicators at the moment. The value of single index hazard index determines single index weights of the four indicators, and therefore an aggregative indicator hazard index of the four indicators is calculated, and finally a danger class of the coal petrography dynamic disaster which happens in an excavating roadway is determined according to the value of the aggregative indicator hazard index. The multi-parameter aggregative indicator forecasting method of the coal petrography dynamic disaster provides a critical value determination method and an early warning standard for the research and development of a multi-parameter monitoring system of the coal petrography dynamic disaster.

The invention discloses a comprehensive test platform for the dynamic performance of a hydraulic cylinder of an engineering machine. The comprehensive test platform for the dynamic performance of the hydraulic cylinder of the engineering machine comprises a test platform body, a hydraulic system and an electrical test control system. The hydraulic system comprises a drive system unit and a loading system unit. The drive system unit comprises a first hydraulic pump, a first filter and three liquid inlet valve banks. Oil outlets of the three liquid inlet valve banks are connected with an oil inlet of the tested hydraulic cylinder. The loading system unit supplies oil to a loading hydraulic cylinder. The electrical test control system controls all the valve banks of the hydraulic system according to feedback signals. According to the comprehensive test platform for the dynamic performance of the hydraulic cylinder of the engineering machine, a drive system, a loading system and a gas-liquid supercharging system which are independently arranged are used for meeting test and control needs under different loads and different working conditions; and the comprehensive test platform also utilizes the feedback signals to control the test process, when the oil pressure, the flow, the filter precision, the system temperature and other indexes are not at the normal level, the system gives out an alarm to remind people and stops, and therefore system operation reliability is guaranteed.

Method and apparatus for user selectable display mode for intelligently enhancing battery life

A method and system for enhancing the life of a battery within a portable or otherwise battery operated electronic device. The method and system provide user selectable display modes, e.g., from color to monochrome, that can be changed in order to enhance the life of the device's battery. The monochrome display mode can be selected by the user when the battery level is detected below a predefined threshold. In one embodiment, the electronic device is a hand held computer system with a display device. When the battery level is detected as below a preselected level, a message is generated on the computer display screen. The message informs the user that the display mode of the screen can be changed to enhance the battery life. If selected, the display mode can change from color to monochrome thereby saving power because the monochrome display does not utilize a back-lighting element. In one embodiment, color sequential techniques are used to provide a flat panel color display. Within the display, a transreflective layer provides reflective light for monochrome applications. When the battery energy returns to normal levels, the color display mode can be re-entered automatically. It is appreciated that the display mode changes can also be performed automatically if the battery level falls below certain critical levels.
