Rim system for a display

This invention relates to a rim system for a display such as a TV or a computer display. Controllable light sources are used for emitting light beam of at least one wavelength into a light guide comprising an inner and an outer side and a front and a back side, the light guide being adapted for guiding incoming light emitted by the light sources. The light guide 5 comprises an out-coupling structure for interacting with the light guided within the light guide such that the light becomes extracted out of the front side of the light guide. The light sources are coupled to the light guide such that the emitted light beam reaching the inner and the outer sides from with hin the light guide becomes reflected under an oblique angle with the respect to the inner and the outer sides.

Sensor element

A sensor element (30) measures a Hall voltage generated by a movable magnet (16). For this purpose, the sensor element (30) comprises a ceramic base element (40) which has connected therewith a detector element (46). The detector element (46) is protected with the aid of a cover element (42) against an aggressive environment produced by fuel or fuel vapors in a fuel tank (34) of a motor vehicle. The detector element (46) has connected therewith electric conductors (60) which are routed through the cover element (42) and / or the base element (40) for connecting the detector element (46) with a voltage source and / or an evaluation unit. The cover element (42) and possibly the base element (40) reliably encapsulate the detector element (46) against the aggressive environment such that by simple constructive measures the service life of the sensor element (30) is increased.

Self locking cable control apparatus

A cable control assembly is beneficially adapted for shifting controllable mechanisms, such as a power take-off unit, between two conditions, an initial position and an actuated position. The cable control assembly preferably includes a housing, a handle extending from the housing, a driving member, a driven member, and a locking member such as a pawl. Upon shifting of the handle from an initial position to an actuated position, the driving member shifts the driven member, which is operatively coupled to the control cable. Upon reaching the actuated position, the locking member holds the driven member in the actuated position without transmitting a tensioning force applied to the control cable to the driving member. Return of the driving member in a direction toward the initial position automatically causes the locking member to move free of the driven member and enable return of the driven member and control cable to the initial position without other unlocking steps.

Power-saving driving device for treading pedals of bicycle

A power-saving driving device for treading the pedals of a bicycle is disclosed. Thereby, the driver may use a smaller force to tread a bicycle so that a higher efficiency is provided. The power-saving device comprises two crank axles. The two crank axles are fixed to a gear box. Two spur gears are engaged to the gear box, and two free wheels are installed at an exterior of the gear box. The two spur gears and two free wheels are connected to the two crank axles. The two free wheels are connected through a chain; and a chain wheel and a bearing are connected to the crank axles. Thereby, the forces from the right and left legs can be outputted effectively. The driving of a bicycle and the power necessary are improved. Therefore, the driver treads the pedals with a smaller depth and thus the physical consumption is reduced.
