The invention provides a hedging type exhaust silencer. The hedging type exhaust silencer is connected to an engine exhaust pipe and comprises a main air inlet pipe which is connected with the engine exhaust pipe, wherein the rear part of the main air inlet pipe is connected with one or more than one hedging device in series, each hedging device is provided with an air inlet, an air outlet and two sections of elbow pipes, the two sections of the elbow pipes are respectively led out from the air inlet and are interacted at the air outlet, the two sections of the elbow pipes are symmetrical corresponding to a central connecting line of the air inlet and the air outlet, a 180-degree angle is formed between airflow path directions in the two sections of the elbow pipes in front of the air outlet, the air inlet of a first hedging device is connected with the main air inlet pipe, and the air outlet of a last hedging device is communicated with a horn-shaped diffusing pipe. According to the hedging type exhaust silencer provided by the invention, the continuous pulse air pressure during an engine exhaust process can be restrained to a large extent, thus the airflow exhausted from the tail end of the hedging type exhaust silencer can be stable and temperate, and the exhaust noise can be reduced to a large extent.
