This invention provides an antibacterial air freshener made from Atractylodes lancea volatile oil and its preparation method, belonging to the field of daily consumer goods technology. It comprises the following components by volume fraction: 0.5%~1.5% Atractylodes lancea volatile oil, 1.5%~4.5% main solubilizer, 3%~8% co-solvent, 1%~3% fragrance, 30%~50% anhydrous ethanol, and the balance being water. Preferably, the main solubilizer is a composite solubilizer system composed of dodecyl dimethylamine oxide OB-2 and alkyl glycoside APG10, with a volume ratio of 1~3:1. The antibacterial air freshener made from Atractylodes lancea volatile oil of this invention is clear and transparent in appearance, and exhibits an antibacterial rate of greater than 99.99% against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans.
