The method for detecting the macromolecular substance in the reduning injection is established by taking thymosin alph1 as a reference and adopting a molecular exclusion chromatography by virtue of the characteristics of a reduning injection producing process. The method comprises the following steps: eluting components in a detected sample according to a molecular weight decreasing sequence, and with a peak appearing earlier than a peak appearance time of a reference substance as the macromolecular substance, and calculating the content of the macromolecular substance by adopting an area normalization method. Through the inspection of repeatability, degree of separation, detection limit, degree of precision, molecular weight logarithm-retention time curve and solution stability, the method for detecting the macromolecular substance in the reduning injection is proved to be simple and convenient to operate, high in sensitivity and good in repeatability, can be used as an quality internal control method of the reduning injection and plays a role in guiding the quality control of traditional Chinese medicine injections.

The present invention provides an antiobesity composition comprising extract of Melissa as an active ingredient, use of Melissa extract, and a method for suppressing obesity using the composition. Also, the present invention provides an antiobesity composition comprising extract of Melissa and extract of Mori Folium as active ingredients, use of a mixture of Melissa extract and Mori Folium extract, and a method for suppressing obesity using the composition. Further, the present invention provides an antiobesity composition comprising extract of Melissa, extract of Artemisia and extract of Mori Folium as active ingredients, use of a mixture of Melissa extract, Artemisia extract and Mori Folium extract, and a method for suppressing obesity using the composition. When the present compositions are administrated into genetically obese mice or high fat diet-induced obese mice, the present compositions reduced body weight, body fat and gonadal fat, and reduce blood cholesterol level and obesity-related blood glucose level. Also, the present compositions suppress hypertrophy of adipocytes, and inhibit the accumulation of lipid in the liver by reducing the size and number of lipid vacuoles. Furthermore, in human clinial trial the present compositions show that body weight, PIBW, body fat, especially visceral fat, apolipoprotin B concentration, ratio of total cholesterol/HDL cholesterol and ratio of LDL cholesterol/HDL cholesterol are significantly decreased, and atherogenic index is improved and muscle mass is increased. Thus, the present compositions can be usefully applied as antiobesity composition for reduction of body weight and suppression of abdominal fat, particularly, visceral fat.

Method for preserving lotus root with garlic extract and onion extract

The invention relates to a method for preserving a lotus root with garlic extract and onion extract. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) preparing crude garlic extract; (2) preparing crude onion extract; (3) preparing compound preservative: weighing the crude garlic extract and dissolving the crude garlic extract in water, adding the crude onion extract, pullulan and konjac gum in sequence after the crude garlic extract is fully dissolved and stirring the solution uniformly, adjusting the pH of the solution to 4.6-4.8 with citric acid and diluting the solution with water, blending the solution with ultrasonic wave, and cooling the solution to room temperature for standby use, then the compound preservative is prepared; (4) selecting the lotus root raw materials; (5) washing and cutting the lotus root; (6) sterilizing; (7) keeping brittleness; (8) filming; and (9) vacuum packing and refrigerating the lotus root. According to the method for preserving the lotus root with the garlic extract and the onion extract, the garlic extract and the onion extract are used to prepare the compound film preservative serving as the preservative of the lotus root with skins, the compound film preservative has a good preservation effect, and the preservation period can be up to 5 months or above, and thus the problems of browning, hardness decrease and weight decrease in storing the fresh lotus root are solved.
