Recording medium storing video game program and video game device

The player gives a change in the input through a touch operation to a character pattern P2 displayed on a second display screen 12a covered by a touch panel. The character pattern P2 is associated with a player character P1 displayed on a first display screen 11a, and is displayed on a larger scale than the player character P1. The player character P1 is moved according to the change in the input. Thus, the present invention provides a video game played on a dual-screen video game device with a novel operation in which the player can accurately specify an intended position.

Glare-resistant touch panel

A touch panel is constructed of a top sheet member having a resistive membrane on its inner surface and a base sheet member having a resistive membrane on its inner surface, the top and base sheet members facing each other with dot spacers being located in between. The top sheet member is formed by laminating a PET film, a polarizing film, a ¼lambd retardation film, and a light isotropic film in this order from its outer surface. The PET film has a thermal expansion coefficient lower than the other films underneath, such as the polarizing film. Accordingly, the PET film serves to keep the other films of the top sheet member from bulging outward when the temperature rises.

A touch panel is constructed of a top sheet member having a resistive membrane on its inner surface and a base sheet member having a resistive membrane on its inner surface, the top and base sheet members facing each other with dot spacers being located in between. The top sheet member is formed by laminating a bulge-resistant film, a polarizing plate, a quarter wavelength plate, and a light isotropic film in this order from above. A PET film which is not heat-treated so as to have a higher thermal contraction rate than the other members of the top sheet member underneath such as the polarizing plate, is used as the bulge-resistant film. Since the bulge-resistant film contracts more than the polarizing plate under a high ambient temperature, after the ambient temperature returns to normal, the bulge-resistant film does not become slack against the polarizing plate. Accordingly, the top sheet member can be kept from bulging outward.

Frameless Supplemental Window For Fenestration Incorporating Infiltration Blockers

A novel and useful frameless supplemental window for fenestration incorporating infiltration blockers suitable for use with existing windows. The supplemental window, in one embodiment, comprises plastic sheet material with bullnose edging around it. Corner braces add rigidity and strength to corners in several embodiments. An attachment mechanism secured either to the sheet material or the bullnose edge functions to fasten and / or seal the supplemental window to an existing window. Infiltration blockers fastened to the sheet or bullnose prevent or minimize air leakage around various window elements. The bullnose edging and infiltration blockers function to substantially enclose (i.e. trap) a volume of air between the window pane and the plastic sheet material. The supplemental window is configured such that the layer of air enclosed is of an optimum thickness within a preferred range of 0.15 to 0.75 inches to maximize thermal insulation properties of the supplemental window.

Bio-adaptable implantable sensor apparatus and methods

Biocompatible implantable sensor apparatus and methods of implantation and use. In one embodiment, the sensor apparatus is an oxygen-based glucose sensor having biocompatibility features that mitigate the host tissue response. In one variant, these features include use of a non-enzymatic membrane over each of the individual analyte detectors so as to preclude contact of the surrounding tissue with the underlying enzyme or other matrix, and mitigate vascularization, and insulation of the various electrodes and associated electrolytic processes of the sensor from the surrounding tissue. In one implementation, the sensor region of the implanted apparatus is configured to interlock or imprint the surrounding tissue so as to promote a high degree of glucose molecule diffusion into the individual detectors, and a constant and predictable sensor to blood vessel interface, yet preclude the tissue from bonding to the sensor, especially over extended periods of implant.

Air-gap insulator for short-term exposure to a high temperature environment

A packaging system for electronic circuitry is provided. The electronic circuitry may be disposed upon a substrate, which can be encased or otherwise surrounded by one or more components of the packaging system. The packaging system may include (i) an inner housing that can encase or otherwise enclose the substrate within its confines; (ii) an outer housing that in turn encases or encloses the combination of the inner housing and the substrate within its confines; and (iii) one or more gaps positioned between the electronic circuitry, inner housing and outer housing. The gaps may be filled with fluid or solid insulating media. The combination of the inner housing, outer housing, and gaps can insulate the electronic circuitry from the detrimental and destructive heating effects when the packaging system experiences short-term exposure to a high temperature, which thereby allows operability before, during and after such exposure.
