Monophasic multi-coil arrays for trancranial magnetic stimulation

Efficient use of multi-coil arrays for magnetic nerve stimulation depends upon coordinating the coil polarity, the pulse phase and the pulse timing. Monophasic magnetic nerve stimulators produce more precise and predictable results in the stimulation of nerves than biphasic and polyphasic machines, but are less electrically efficient, and consequently limited in terms of pulse train speed. The present invention concerns the coordination of pulse polarity, phase, timing, and strength between multiple magnetic stimulation coils. The goal is to optimize the manner in which multiple coils may be used synergistically to control the activity of underlying neural tissue.

Parallel MR imaging with use of multi-coil made of plural element coils

A magnetic resonance imaging system includes an MR signal reception apparatus comprising a receiving multi-coil and a switchover member. The receiving multi-coil receives MR signals and is composed of a plurality of element coils. The switchover member is configured to switch reception states of the MR signals received by the plurality of element coils in response to imaging conditions. The switchover member connects output paths of the MR signals from the plurality of element coils to a receiver, to reception channels in the receiver in response to the imaging conditions. The reception channels is less in number than the element coils. The imaging conditions are for example directed to parallel MR imaging.

Method and apparatus of multi-coil MR imaging with hybrid space calibration

The present invention provides a system and method for parallel imaging that performs auto-calibrating reconstructions with a 2D (for 2D imaging) or 3D kernel (for 3D imaging) that exploits the computational efficiencies available when operating in certain data “domains” or “spaces”. The reconstruction process of multi-coil data is separated into a “training phase” and an “application phase” in which reconstruction weights are applied to acquired data to synthesize (replace) missing data. The choice of data space, i.e., k-space, hybrid space, or image space, in which each step occurs is independently optimized to reduce total reconstruction time for a given imaging application. As such, the invention retains the image quality benefits of using a 2D k-space kernel without the computational burden of applying a 2D k-space convolution kernel.

Method and apparatus for multi-coil magnetic resonance imaging

A method for determining weights (or coefficients) for synthesizing k-space data for autocalibrated parallel imaging (API) combines training data sets (including k-space data such as autocalibrating signals (ACS)) acquired at multiple successive time points. Combining training data sets from multiple successive time points together to determine a set of weights increases the accuracy of the calculated weights. The weights may be applied to k-space data from a single or multiple time points. The method retains the phase information of the individual time point images and may thus be applied, for example, to phase-sensitive multi-point imaging such as chemical species separation studies.

Fourier parallel magnetic resonance imaging method based on one-dimensional part of deep convolutional network

The invention relates to a Fourier parallel magnetic resonance imaging method based on a one-dimensional part of a deep convolutional network, and belongs to the technical field of magnetic resonance imaging. The method comprises the following steps: a sample set for training and a sample label set are created; an initial deep convolutional network is built; a training sample of the sample set is input into an initial deep convolutional network model to perform forward propagation, an output result of the forward propagation is compared with an expect result in the sample label set, and training is performed using a gradient descent algorithm until various layer parameters maximizing the consistency between the output result and the expect result are obtained; an optimal deep convolutional network model is established by utilizing the obtained various layer parameters; and a multi-coil under-sampling image obtained through online sampling is input into the optimal deep convolutional network model, forward propagation is performed on the optimal deep convolutional network model, and a rebuilt single-channel whole-sampling image is output. A noise of the rebuilt image can be removed well, a magnetic resonance image having a good visual effect is rebuilt, and the Fourier parallel magnetic resonance imaging method has high practical value.
