The invention discloses an optimization method for road network traffic flow based on an improved TASEP model. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly, setting the edges of the network tohave different hopping rates and conform to the Poisson distribution; then, combining the real-time flow values and the number of particles on the corresponding sides at each intersection of the roadnetwork to design path strategies of the particles and control the motions of the particles; and finally, selecting a reasonable path of particles according to the roulette algorithm.
