The invention discloses a configurable battery simulation system and method for detecting a BMS function, and the system comprises a dSPACE controller, a battery cell voltage simulation module, a temperature simulation module and an insulation resistance simulation module. The dSPACE controller is connected with the battery cell voltage simulation module, the temperature simulation module and theinsulation resistance simulation module through a MicroAutoBox hardware interface board. The battery simulation system is connected with a to-be-tested BMS, and is used for detecting the data acquisition accuracy and precision of the BMS system, the accuracy of the SOC estimation, the correctness of the fault diagnosis, whether the charging conforms to the protocol standard or not, and whether a vehicle can communicate normally or not, thereby achieving the comprehensive evaluation of the performance of the to-be-tested BMS system. The battery simulation system is configurable, and can establish a mathematical model of a battery according to the type, the total voltage and capacity of a to-be-simulated battery, or directly uses the experiment data to obtain the SOC-VOC characteristics of the batteries with different electrochemical characteristics, thereby configuring the characteristics of the simulated battery.
