Solar panel racking assembly

The present invention is a ballasted solar panel mounting system primarily for mounting solar panels to a roof. The mounting system reduces waste space by positioning the first and / or the last row of bases beneath the panel. This potentially provides room for an additional row of panels and generation of a greater amount of electricity per square foot of area. Additionally, the mounting system uses bases with upwardly extending posts that are integrally connected to the bases that support ballasts. Thus, all assemblies that require attaching one part of the system to another is done at an elevated level to reduce the amount of bending required by the installers. Moreover, the unique system for installing solar panels can be installed without a jig. In some instances, it can be installed with only a single reference line (e.g., chalk line). Additionally, the bases are configured to be stackable for inexpensive storage and distribution.

Synergistic H2S/Mercaptan Scavengers Using Glyoxal

The use of neutral aqueous solutions of glyoxal (pH approximately 6 to 8.5) scavenges H2S that is present in natural gas and in oil better than glyoxal alone or base alone. The resulting scavenger combination significantly increases the reaction rate and the overall scavenging efficiency, i.e. capacity over glyoxal used alone. A buffer may be optionally used. In another embodiment, the combination of non-nitrogen-containing surfactants and glyoxal results in a significant increase in the reaction rate and the overall scavenging efficiency, i.e. capacity as compared to glyoxal used alone.

Method for gasifying organic materials and mixtures of materials

The aim of the invention is to provide a method for gasifying organic materials which is simple to carry out and requires minimal equipment and which produced an undiluted gas of high calorific value. The inventive method should eliminate the need to use fluid beds and heat exchangers with high temperatures on both sides, with the heat being transferred from the furnace to a heat-carrying medium in a particularly defined way. To this end, the feed material is divided into a volatile phase and a solid carbon-containing residue in the pyrolysis reactor by circulating a hot heat-carrying medium. After the reaction agent has been added, said volatile phase is converted into the product gas by further heating in the reaction area, also using the heat-carrying medium. The solid, carbon-containing residue is separated from the heat-carrying medium in the separating stage and burnt in the furnace. The heat-carrying medium is heated by the waste gases of the furnace in the heating area and then returned to the reformer and then the pyrolysis reactor.

Wireless Power Alignment Guide

In one embodiment, a wireless power alignment guide uses multiple coils and a detector circuit to determine an offset between a wireless power receiver and a wireless power transmitter. A transmitter generates a magnetic field that causes a first time-varying current to flow in a first coil and a second time-varying current to flow in a second coil of the wireless power alignment guide. The first time-varying current can flow to the second coil and the second time-varying current can flow to the first coil. A detector circuit detects a voltage resulting from the first time-varying current and the second time-varying current and determines an offset so the user can center the receiver with the transmitter. By correcting any offset between the receiver and the transmitter, greater amounts of power can be transferred to the receiver in comparison to a receiver that is offset from a transmitter.

Method and system for delayed allocation of resources

The present invention allows a server to delay allocating resources to a client's request. When the client requests a feature that requires server resources, the server accepts and acknowledges the client's request, but the client is prohibited from using the requested feature until further notice from the server. For example, during an authorization process, the server allocates only the minimum resources required to maintain the session and to authorize the client. Thereafter, the server allocates the resources necessary to support the client's request only when the resources become available. Until then, the server maintains the communications session without supporting the request. Thus, the server shepherds its resources rather than committing them at the whim of a client. Also, a client need not repeat its request if the server cannot immediately satisfy it; instead, the server accepts the request and then later begins to support it when adequate resources become available.

Speed control for cable retractor

The present invention is a speed control for a cable retractor. The cable retractor with which the speed control is used comprises a pulley that engages a cable that may be extended and retracted. A friction element configured to adjustably contact the cable adjacent to the pulley is attached to a movable linkage. The movement of the linkage is constrained to move along a predetermined path such that movement of the linkage along the path alters the distance between the friction element and the pulley. In one or more embodiments a cantilevered spring is attached to the linkage. An adjustable control, for example a thumbscrew, is configured to move the spring in relation to the linkage in a manner that alters the position of the friction element with respect to the cable and / or the pressure exerted by the friction element on the cable.

Method and device for lubricant oil transport in an internal combustion engine

A lubricant oil transport device and method is provided in an internal combustion engine using wet sump lubrication. Near the connecting rod and the crankshaft cheeks, which are disposed exteriorly in the transverse acceleration and / or inclination direction and lie opposite a decentralized oil suction system, the oil repulsion part is configured to cause a centrifugal flow for oil transport in the oil pan area opposite the transverse acceleration and / or inclination, resulting from interaction of the oil repulsion part, connecting rod, and crankshaft cheeks. Thus, lubricant oil supply is always assured, without pumps additionally integrated into the engine, which increase costs and likelihood of failure. The oil pan may also now be flatter, which allows a low center of gravity of the engine while maintaining the required minimum road surface distance. Regarding oil change intervals, a greater amount of oil can be used, with the same proportions of the oil pan.
