Broadband imaging device

This invention relates to imaging device and its related transferring technologies to independent substrate able to attain significant broadband capability covering the wavelengths from ultra-violet (UV) to long-Infrared. More particularly, this invention is related to the broadband image sensor (along with its manufacturing technologies), which can detect the light wavelengths ranges from as low as UV to the wavelengths as high as 20 μm covering the most of the wavelengths using of the single monolithic image sensor on the single wafer. This invention is also related to the integrated circuit and the bonding technologies of the image sensor to standard integrated circuit for multicolor imaging, sensing, and advanced communication. Our innovative approach utilizes surface structure having more than micro-nano-scaled 3-dimensional (3-D) blocks which can provide broad spectral response. Utilizing multiple micro-nano scaled blocks help to increase the absorption spectra more than the material used as the absorption layer. In addition, utilizing the multiple nano-scaled 3-D blocks help to increase the absorption over the wavelength due to the multiple reflections and diffractions inside the 3-D structures. The absorption layers will be designed to achieve the required quantum efficiency and also required speed.

Rotary servovalve and control system

An improved rotary servovalve system employs a rotary magnetic solenoid having an armature that includes at least one permanent magnet. The armature is rotatable relative to a stator formed as an electromagnet which is energizable to create alternative electromagnetic fields having opposite polarities from each other. When deenergized, the stator allows the armature to return to a neutral, null position from positions of extreme rotation in opposite angular directions due to the magnetic force of the permanent magnet of the armature. The armature is coupled to carry a movable valve element in angular rotation therewith, so that flow through the servovalve of the system can occur in alternative directions. Also, the valve element is biased toward a position in which all of the valve ports are closed when power is removed from the rotary solenoid. The control circuit employed in the rotary servovalve system expands the bandwidth of response of the solenoid actuator by compensating for frequency variations in the input command signal and in the feedback signal. This compensation is achieved utilizing a combined proportional, integral, and differential amplification circuit. Also, imbalance of fluid forces within the servovalve mechanism can be avoided by utilizing a pair of inlet orifices, a pair of outlet orifices, a pair of first fluid control orifices, and a pair of second fluid control orifices. The orifices within each pair are located on opposite sides of the valve housing from each other.

A method of adaptive full duplex full frequency band echo cancellation comprises the following steps of: carrying out filtration by a sub-band filter, carrying out sub-band echo cancellation by a sub-band echo canceller, carrying out weighted energy analysis and control on system signals, carrying out analysis and detection on double talk active state, carrying out coefficient updating on an echo filter, carrying out nonlinear processing on residual echo, and carrying out synthesis on signals of sub-bands. The method further comprises the step of maintaining reference signal and echo signal to be synchronous; after the nonlinear processing is carried out, noise reduction, automatic gain control and comfort noise technique can be added. Owing to adoption of the method of echo cancellation, signals are spilt into sub-bands through filtration, thus reducing correlation among signals of sub-bands, improving convergence problem of adaptive filter, reducing data process load of the system, improving processing efficiency of echo cancellation, realizing full duplex of conversation, improving frequency response of communication audio frequency, improving quality of communication and realizing echo cancellation of full frequency band response.
