Policy based creation of export sets and backup media

A virtual data storage system stores data as data objects to a plurality of storage devices in accordance with storage management policies. Storage pools define groups of medial that are to be treated in a uniform manner. A policy is composed of a series of policy copy / delete rules that direct movement of data objects into the storage pools. Copy and delete actions are preformed to manage copies of data objects among the storage pools in accordance with the policy. As an extension of the storage management policies, the process of creating export media sets is automated. These processes can also be used to create backup media. When an export media set is created, subsequent commands are prevented from modifying the media in the export media set. When a backup is created, subsequent commands are prevented from overwriting media containing data referred to by the manifest media for the backup.

Image processing method and system for analyzing a multi-channel image obtained from a biological tissue sample being stained by multiple stains

Systems and methods for automatic FOV selection in immunoscore computation that involve reading images for individual markers from an unmixed multiplex slide or single stain slides, and computing the tissue region mask from the individual marker image. The heat map of each marker is determined by applying the low pass filter on the individual marker image channel and selecting the top K highest intensity regions from the heat map as the candidate FOVs for each marker. The candidate FOVs from the individual marker images are merged together in the same coordinate system by either adding all of the FOVs together or by only adding the FOVs from the selected marker images depending on the user's choice, and registering all the individual marker images to a common coordinate system and transferring the FOVs back to the original images.

Method for establishing a risk profile using RFID tags

A system and method for establishing a weight related risk profile using RFID technology is provided. While the cargo container is in transit, a RFID reader inside a cargo container polls the contents of the container by reading RFID data from each RFID tagged item and calculate the payload weight. When the truck transporting the cargo container passes a weigh station, or a high-speed scale embedded in the road, a payload weight is measured by a scale. A risk factor is assessed by comparing the estimated weight by the RFID reader with the measured weight by the scale. According to one aspect of the invention, the RFID based polling system has the ability to map the weight and location for each tagged item and estimate a container weight distribution. The estimated weight distribution is compared with the weight distribution measured by the scale to determine potential anomalies.
