A leadless plastic chip carrier is fabricated by selectively etching a leadframe strip to reduce a thickness of the strip at a portion thereof. Selectively masking the surface of the leadframe strip using a mask, follows selectively etching, to provide exposed areas of the surface at the portion and contact pad areas on leadframe the strip. At least one layer of metal is deposited on the exposed areas to define a die attach pad on the portion of the leadframe strip with reduced thickness and to define contact pads on the surface of the strip. At least one semiconductor die is mounted to the die attach pad, followed by wire bonding the at least one semiconductor die to ones of the contact pads. The at least one semiconductor die, the wire bonds, and the contact pads are covered with an overmold material and the leadframe strip is etched to thereby remove the leadframe strip. The leadless plastic chip carrier is singulated from the leadframe strip.

A method and system is directed to providing authentication of a message, such as email, and the like, by combining Public Key encryption and the Internet Domain Name System (the “DNS”). A domain owner may validate that an email originates from an authorized sender within their domain by using a private key component to digitally sign email outbound from its domain. Employing a public key component, along with a selector, an email recipient may check the validity of the signature, and thus determine that the email originated from a sender authorized by the domain owner. In one embodiment, the public key component used to verify an email signature may be “advertised” or otherwise made available via a TXT record in the DNS.

Glycan-optimized monoclonal antibodies that specifically bind CD20 antigen and which have improved effector function are provided. The anti-CD20 antibodies of the invention have a glycosylation pattern that results in an antibody composition having predominately the G0 glycoform, and thus comprise N-glycans that lack fucose (i.e., afucosylated) and galactose residues attached thereto. In some embodiments, these anti-CD20 antibodies comprise the light chain and heavy chain sequences of the rituximab anti-CD20 antibody, and thus represent afucosylated rituximab. A laser processing apparatus is provided for patterning with laser light a resin film or a metal film formed on a substrate. Catheters and a method of preparation thereof comprising a catheter body and at least one connector. This paper feeder includes: an air state detection unit for detecting at least one of an air pressure and an air flow rate in the air intake duct; an opening and closing unit provided to the air intake duct for opening and closing the opening; and a control unit for opening and closing the opening based on a result of detection by the air state detection unit.

The invention provides a shock absorbing structure capable of turning the function of the shock absorber on and off according to the level of shock during collision, thereby reducing the frequency of replacing shock absorbers. On a rear surface of a load operating unit 11 constituting a shock absorbing device 10A are attached a load transmitting shaft 12 and a shock absorber 13. The load transmitting shaft 12 is passed through the center of the shock absorber and is connected to a supporting unit 14 via a pin 15 that extends toward the radial direction. The rear end of the shock absorber 13 faces the supporting unit 14 with a clearance therebetween. The pin 15 has notched grooves 21 formed thereto. When small load is applied, the load is transmitted from the load operating unit 11 through the load transmitting shaft 12, the pin 15 and the supporting unit 14 to the main body, so that the load is not applied on the shock absorber 13. A method of making an elastic composite entails conveying a first sheet on a conveyor, and wrapping a section of elastic about the first sheet and the conveyor, thereby applying elastics cross directionally across the sheet.
