A method for fabricating a semiconductor device and forming an insulating film used therein, includes forming an isolation insulating film on a semiconductor wafer and forming gates, separated by gaps having a predetermined distance, on an active region. Next, a first interlayer dielectric film is deposited to a predetermined thickness on the semiconductor wafer having the gates, so that the gaps between the gates are not completely filled. Then, a sputtering etch is performed entirely on a surface of the first interlayer dielectric film. Thereafter, the first interlayer dielectric film is partially removed through isotropic etching. Next, a second interlayer dielectric film is deposited on the first interlayer dielectric film so that the gaps between the gates are completely filled. According to the above method, a gap between gate patterns can be completely filled without a void by performing sputtering etch on interlayer dielectric films formed on gate patterns, thereby enhancing the reliability of a semiconductor device.

The extruded hook members or cut rib hook members are then heat treated resulting in shrinkage of at least a portion of at least the hook head portion thickness by from 5 to 90 percent, preferably 30 to 90 percent.

A method of manufacturing a thermal interface material, comprising providing a sheet comprising nano-scale fibers, the sheet having at least one exposed surface; and stabilizing the fibers with a stabilizing material disposed in at least a portion of a void space between the fibers in the sheet. The fibers may be CNT's or metallic nano-wires. Stabilizing may include infiltrating the fibers with a polymerizable material. The polymerizable material may be mixed with nano- or micro-particles. The composite system may include two films, with the fibers in between, to create a sandwich. Each capping film may include two sub films: a palladium film closer to the stabilizing material to improve adhesion; and a nano-particle film for contact with a device to be cooled or a heat sink.

Television signal transmission and reception system includes a broadcasting center, a transmission network and many reception terminals. In the broadcasting center, plural television signals corresponding to individual channels are modulated into transmittable form, and a synthesis circuit synthesizes the television signals to produce a synthesis image signal for a multi-screen display comprising plural small screens. Both the ordinary television signal and the synthesis image signal is transmitted with control information to the reception terminals through the transmission network. In the reception terminal, for selecting a desired channel out of the individual channels, the synthesis image signal is used for displaying a multi-screen, a moveable cursor image is superimposed on the multi-screen for designating one small screen corresponding to the desired channel. The channel designated by the cursor image is detected based on the control information, and the television signal of the designated channel is demodulated.
