The tester includes a color sensor, a clamp current sensor, a controller, a computer (with a virtual instrument) and a printer. The clamp current sensor is clamped on any one phase of the three-phase power output by the elevator inverter, and is used to detect the current of the corresponding phase. The color sensor is used to align the white mark marked on the elevator traction wire rope when the elevator car and the counterweight are on the same horizontal line. When a detection signal is generated, the signal triggers the clamp current sensor to detect the instantaneous current of one phase of the three-phase output of the elevator inverter. This phase is the output phase of the elevator inverter clamped by the clamp current sensor.
