The application discloses a pre-treatment method of carbon baking filler for aluminum, aiming at controlling the migration and accumulation of iron impurities from the filler, comprising the following steps: S1, screening the filler to be treated according to the particle size, and separating the filler into at least two different particle size intervals, wherein the particle size of the filler in at least one particle size interval is less than 2 mm; S2, performing
air separation purification on the filler with a particle size less than 2 mm to remove iron-containing particles; S3, sequentially performing weak
magnetic separation treatment and strong
magnetic separation treatment on the filler in each particle size interval obtained in the step S1 to remove iron-containing impurities; S4, performing
acid treatment on the filler after the
air separation purification and the
magnetic separation treatment to remove an
iron oxide film attached to the surface of the filler particles; and S5, uniformly mixing the filler in each particle size interval after the treatment according to the original
mass proportion before the screening.
