5 results about "Permanganate index" patented technology

The permanganate index is an assessment of water quality. It involves the detection of oxidation by potassium permanganate in an acid medium under hot conditions. The method is to heat a sample in a boiling water-bath with a known amount of potassium permanganate and sulphuric acid for a fixed period time (10 min). Part of the permanganate will be reduced by oxidizable material in the sample. The consumed permanganate can be determined by addition of an excess of oxalate solution, followed by titration with permanganate. The method applies to waters having a chloride ion concentration of less than 300 mg/L. Samples having a permanganate index over 10 mg/L should be diluted before analysis. The lower limit of the optimum range of the test is 0.5 mg/L.

A permanganate index determination method based on modified biomass charcoal adsorbent

PendingCN122330351APermanganate saltSorbent
This invention discloses a method for determining the permanganate index based on modified biochar adsorbents, comprising the following steps: Step 1, modifying the biochar with a modifying solution. When the concentration of the modifying solution is 0.1 mol / L, an acidic modifier is used to modify the biochar adsorbent; when the concentration of the modifier solution is 0.2~0.4 mol / L, a salt modifier is used. Step 2, thoroughly shaking and mixing the modified biochar adsorbent with a water sample, adding sulfuric acid solution to acidify the water sample, adding potassium permanganate solution to the acidified water sample and heating the reaction, adding sodium oxalate solution after heating, shaking until the solution becomes colorless and without precipitate, titrating with potassium permanganate solution while hot until a light pink color appears and does not fade within a fixed time, recording the volume of potassium permanganate solution consumed, and calculating the potassium permanganate index. The type and concentration of the modifier used in this invention have a significant impact on the adsorption performance of biochar.

Method and system for on-line automatic determination of permanganate index

The invention provides a permanganate index on-line automatic determination method and system, and the method comprises the steps: synchronously obtaining an oxidation-reduction potential signal, an absorbance signal and a temperature signal of a to-be-detected solution at the same measurement point, and carrying out the temperature drift compensation of the oxidation-reduction potential to extract the potential change characteristics, thereby determining a predicted titration volume interval. If the potential change characteristic meets a first end point judgment condition and the absorbance signal reaches a verification threshold value, determining the corresponding volume as a first end point; if the potential change characteristic does not meet the condition or the absorbance signal does not reach the verification threshold value, the absorbance change characteristic is extracted based on the absorbance signal, and a second end point is determined when a second end point judgment condition is met. And judging a final titration end point according to the obtained number of end points and a difference value between the two end points, and calculating a permanganate index. Through potential and absorbance dual-signal collaborative decision making, the terminal point identification accuracy and the anti-interference capability are improved, and the method is suitable for online automatic monitoring of complex water bodies.

Permanganate index detection method and system based on water quality detector

The invention discloses a permanganate index detection method and system based on a water quality detector, and relates to the technical field of water quality detection. The permanganate index detection method comprises the following steps that S1, a to-be-detected water sample and a potassium permanganate reagent react under preset conditions to form a to-be-detected reaction solution, the absorbance of the to-be-detected reaction solution is obtained through a spectrophotometer, and the absorbance of the to-be-detected reaction solution is calculated; obtaining the turbidity of the reaction liquid to be detected through a turbidimeter, establishing a turbidity interference database, and obtaining a turbidity interference compensation value through the turbidity interference database and the turbidity of the reaction liquid to be detected; the turbidity interference database is established, so that the corresponding turbidity interference compensation value is matched according to the turbidity condition of the reaction liquid, and the absorbance detected under the turbidity is corrected according to the turbidity interference compensation value, thereby being beneficial to avoiding the influence of the turbidity on the absorbance detection when the permanganate index is measured by a spectrophotometric method; and thus, the measurement result is more accurate.

Permanganate index on-line automatic measuring method and system

The application provides a permanganate index online automatic determination method and system, the method comprises the following steps: synchronously acquiring the oxidation-reduction potential signal, the absorbance signal and the temperature signal of the solution to be measured at the same measurement point, and performing temperature drift compensation on the oxidation-reduction potential to extract the potential change characteristics, so as to determine the predicted titration volume interval. If the potential change characteristics meet the first end point determination condition and the absorbance signal reaches the verification threshold, the corresponding volume is determined as the first end point; if the potential change characteristics do not meet the condition or the absorbance signal does not reach the verification threshold, the absorbance change characteristics are extracted based on the absorbance signal, and the second end point is determined when the second end point determination condition is met. According to the obtained number of end points and the difference between the two end points, the final titration end point is determined, and the permanganate index is calculated.
