In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, Flair® based aerosol-type devices can be provided. Such devices utilize a combination of Flair® technology, pre-compression valves and aerosol like pressurization of the dispensed liquid. Such a dispensing device has a main body comprising a pressure chamber, the latter being provided with a pressure piston and a pressure spring. The device further has a piston and a piston chamber which draws liquid from a reservoir and fills the pressure chamber with that liquid as a user operates the trigger in various compression and release strokes. The piston chamber has both an inlet valve and an outlet valve. In a dispensing head a valve is provided to regulate the strength of the flow and preclude leakage. Once the liquid is sufficiently pressurized, it can be dispensed by a user opening an activation valve, such as by pressing on an activation button, and spray can be abruptly stopped by a user ceasing to push on such button. Or, for example, in alternate embodiments without an activation button, once the liquid is sufficiently pressurized, continuous spray occurs until the pressure chamber is emptied. By repeatedly pumping the trigger before the pressure chamber is fully emptied, continuous spray can be achieved. By designing the input volume to be amply greater than the volume of the pressure chamber, continuous spray with fewer pumping strokes can be implemented.

Method for producing a composite structure including a piezoelectric element

A composite structure (3) includes a piezoelectric element (1) sandwiched between fiber composite panels (2). The composite structure can be used as an actuator element. In a method for producing the composite structure, the fiber composite panels are pre-stressed and pre-strained by applying respective pre-stressing forces (F1, F2) in opposite directions along two substantially perpendicular axes in the plane of the panel. The pre-stressed and pre-strained condition of the fiber composite panels (2) is maintained, while the panels are adhesively bonded (5) surfacially onto the piezoelectric element (1). After the bonding is completed, the pre-stressing forces are removed from the fiber composite panels. As a result, in the finished composite structure (3), the fiber composite panels (2) are under internal tension, while the piezoelectric element (1) is under internal compression. The pre-stressing forces (F1, F2) are particularly selected in magnitude and direction to achieve the required resultant balance of tension and compression within the composite structure (3). The pre-compression of the piezoelectric element (1) should be sufficient so that operating loads on the composite structure do not result in tension loading of the piezoceramic element, while substantially maintaining the useful active strain range of the overall composite structure.

A left sensitive cavity and a right sensitive cavity are formed between end portion shoulders and the valve body and between the slide wedge and the valve boy. A pair of high-pressure hole and low-pressure hole (a, b) and a pair of high-pressure hole and low-pressure hole (c, d) are formed in the end portion shoulders respectively, and the high-pressure hole and low-pressure hole (a, b) and the high-pressure hole and low-pressure hole (c, d) are respectively communicated with a port P and a port T through the inner holes of the valve core. A sensing channel c and a sensing channel f are formed in two ends of the wall of the inner hole of the valve body respectively, and are respectively communicated with the left sensitive cavity g and the right sensitive cavity h. The high-pressure holes and the lower-pressure holes of the end portion shoulders cross with the sensing channels to form two tiny opening areas, the two tiny opening areas are connected in series to form hydraulic resistance half bridges, and the pressure of the two end sensitive cavities is respectively controlled by the hydraulic resistance half bridges at two ends.
