Method and apparatus for measuring and monitoring optical properties based on a ring-resonator

A method and apparatus for performing refractive index, birefringence and optical activity measurements of a material such as a solid, liquid, gas or thin film is disclosed. The method and apparatus can also be used to measure the properties of a reflecting surface. The disclosed apparatus has an optical ring-resonator in the form of a fiber-loop resonator, or a race-track resonator, or any waveguide-ring or other structure with a closed optical path that constitutes a cavity. A sample is introduced into the optical path of the resonator such that the light in the resonator is transmitted through the sample and relative and/or absolute shifts of the resonance frequencies or changes of the characteristics of the transmission spectrum are observed. A change in the transfer characteristics of the resonant ring, such as a shift of the resonance frequency, is related to a sample's refractive index (refractive indices) and/or change thereof. In the case of birefringence measurements, rings that have modes with two (quasi)-orthogonal (linear or circular) polarization states are used to observe the relative shifts of the resonance frequencies. A reflecting surface may be introduced in a ring resonator. The reflecting surface can be raster-scanned for the purpose of height-profiling surface features. A surface plasmon resonance may be excited and phase changes of resonant light due to binding of analytes to the reflecting surface can be determined in the frequency domain.

The invention discloses a ventilated polyurethane plastic race-track surface layer cementing material, and belongs to the technical field of race-track construction. The ventilated polyurethane plastic race-track surface layer cementing material consists of a component I and a component II at the mass ratio of 1:(3-4), wherein the component I is prepolymer containing isocyanate end group prepared from environment-friendly polyisocyanate, polyether glycol and an addition agent by reacting in a reaction kettle for 3 to 4 hours at the temperature of 70 to 80 DEG C, and the component II comprises polyether glycol with three functionalities, inorganic filler, pigment, a plasticizing agent, a curing agent, an antioxygen, an ultraviolet light absorber and the like. The obtained plastic race-track has the advantages that surface particles are not easy to fall out, the surface is smooth, the quality of the plastic race-track is improved, the service life of the plastic race-track is prolonged, the qualification rate of the plastic race-track is increased to more than 95% as compared with the conventional 82%, the production cost and the use cost are reduced. Moreover all of the used raw materials are environmental protection materials, and belongs to environment friendly materials, the environmental pollution is avoided, and security is provided for the health safety of sporters.

Model car display shelf unit

A new simple easily mounted, attractive life-like shelf for display of model cars and that can allow for storage of their containers thereon. The invention is comprised of a mounting bracket, straight display shelf, curved display shelf, electrical power receptacle, graphic display board and decals. The device includes at least one straightaway display shelf made from at least one piece of material that hangs on mounting bracket attached to a wall. A sloped horizontal top shelf face surface forms the top surface of a race track, graphic decals and that is the length between end edges of the shelf. A electrical power receptacle located near join of said top shelf face surface and shelf bottom for plugging in display lights, signs and any other miscellaneous electrical device. Lighting can be plugged in as required in electrical power receptacle to provide lighting to only those areas desired by facing upward towards the visual side of the model cars on display. A horizontal flat bottom surface at a right angle from a wall and joined to bottom of top shelf face surface forming an acute angle at join. The length extends between the edges of the shelf that when engaged to a wall form a storage space for model car containers. Model cars can be attached to top shelf face surface with various types wheel chucks to allow for any combination of arranging model cars onto track.

Lead-defined and shaped magnetic sensor

A magnetic recording transducer, useful in a magnetic data storage device, having a read element with improved magnetic stability and a narrow track width is described. An MR stripe according to the invention has a magnetic-stability inducing (MSI) shape selected from an essentially trapezoidal shape, an essentially hexagonal shape, an essentially race-track shape, and an essentially half race track shape. These MSI shapes are oriented in a plane perpendicular to the air-bearing surface (ABS). The MSI shapes are used to encourage the formation of a single magnetic domain state with magnetization direction parallel to the ABS in the absence of a magnetic bias. In one embodiment according to the invention the sensor structure is overlaid on the sides of the top surface with layers of electrically conductive material (overlaid leads) to define an approximately rectangular active region of the larger MSI shape. A sensor structure according to the invention with overlaid leads will have a narrower track width with improved magnetic stability than a sensor which has a comparable volume of magnetoresistive material in a rectangular MR stripe. In another embodiment of the invention the sensor structure has edge-butt leads that make contact at the outer edges of the sensor without substantially overlaying the top surface.

The invention relates to an intelligent camera tracking car model for racing tracks. The intelligent camera tracking car model comprises an energy supply system, a signal collecting system, a central processing system and an executing system; and the central processing system comprises the following processing steps: 1. performing binaryzation on a gray level image collected from the signal collecting system; 2. performing side boundary extraction on the binaryzed image; 3. identifying the racing track according to the extracted side boundary and determining the advancing direction of the car model; 4. calculating the included angle between the optimal advancing direction of the car model and the actual advancing direction of the car model to control a steering engine so as to control the direction; and 5. obtaining the expected speed of the car model through offset, namely, the distance between the axial wire of the car and the axial wire of the racing track, and controlling a drive motor to control the speed. The intelligent camera tracking car model disclosed by the invention fully utilizes the information of a whole frame of image to extract the racing track, thereby overcoming the image fuzzy distortion problem and determining the optimal advancing direction of the car model in real time to realize intelligent tracking of the car model.

Racing track cone bucket detection and target point tracking method based on multi-line laser radar

The invention discloses a racing track cone bucket detection and target point tracking method based on multi-line laser radar. The method comprises the following steps of: 1) reading laser radar pointcloud data; 2) performing through-connection filtering on the laser radar point cloud data; 3) eliminating interference of ground point cloud data on cone bucket detection; 4) screening out a point cloud cluster of a cone bucket; 5) performing statistical analysis on the point cloud cluster obtained by clustering, setting the maximum standard deviation threshold according to the characteristics of the actual size of the cone bucket, and screening out the cone bucket; 6) obtaining coordinates of the central point of the point cloud cluster; 7) calculating the average value of the coordinates of the central points of the cone buckets on the left and right sides of the laser radar to obtain the central points of the cone buckets as the nearest target points in the current state; and 8) circularly performing the steps mentioned above to obtain the newest target point. By processing such as real-time, segmentation and clustering for the laser radar point cloud, a vehicle is continuously controlled to move towards the target point to finally achieve the racing track cone bucket detection and target point tracking based on multi-line laser radar.
