A device for determining a reproduction position of a source of sound for audio-visual reproduction of a film scene from a plurality of individual pictures with regard to a reproduction surface having a predetermined width and a projection source having a projection reference point comprises means for providing a recording position of the source of sound, a camera position during recording, and an aperture angle of the camera during recording. In addition, provision is made of means for transforming the recording position of the source of sound to a camera coordinate system, the origin of which is defined, in relation to a camera aperture, to obtain a recording position of the source of sound in the camera coordinate system. Means for calculating the reproduction position of the source of sound in relation to the projection reference point determines whether the aperture angle of the camera equals a predetermined aperture angle, and whether or not a source of sound is located within the visual range of the camera. If the current aperture angle of the camera differs from the predetermined standard aperture angle, the reproduction position of the source of sound is spaced toward a viewer, or away from the viewer, by a distance which depends on the ratio of the standard aperture angle to the current aperture angle. Hereby, automatable sound-source positioning is achieved so as to provide not only a visually realistic, but also an acoustically realistic situation in a reproduction room using wave-field synthesis methods.

Disclosed herein is a signal processing apparatus including a processing block configured to perform a carrier shift amount detection process for detecting a carrier shift amount constituting a carrier error used for demodulating an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signal known as the OFDM signal; and a correction block configured to correct the OFDM signal in accordance with the carrier shift amount. The OFDM signal includes a first preamble signal including subcarriers, and a second preamble signal including subcarriers of which the spacing is narrower than the spacing of the subcarriers included in the first preamble signal. The second preamble signal includes pilot signals which are known signals located at intervals of a predetermined number of subcarriers. The processing block detects the carrier shift amount using a correlation of the subcarriers included in one such second preamble signal.

Several embodiments of a digital speech signal enhancer are described that use an artificial neural network that produces clean speech coding parameters based on noisy speech coding parameters as its input features. A vocoder parameter generator produces the noisy speech coding parameters from a noisy speech signal. A vocoder model generator processes the clean speech coding parameters into estimated clean speech spectral magnitudes. In one embodiment, a magnitude modifier modifies an original frequency spectrum of the noisy speech signal using the estimated clean speech spectral magnitudes, to produce an enhanced frequency spectrum, and a synthesis block converts the enhanced frequency spectrum into time domain, as an output speech sequence. A pipelined delta-sigma modulator (PDSM) analog to digital converter (ADC) architecture is disclosed where each stage of the pipelined ADC includes a delta sigma modulator with a digital low pass filter and a corresponding analog low pass filter that precisely matches the digital low pass filter. An error signal is generated at each stage based on the difference of the low pass filtered analog input and the low pass filtered digital output of the delta sigma modulator (after converting to an analog signal). The digital outputs of each stage are passed through the appropriate low pass filter stages so all digital signals have been subjected to the same filtering prior to combining in a digital error correction circuit. The present invention also uses a compensation filter to correct any errors in the pass band caused by the low pass filtering and to help reject unwanted noise outside the pass band.

The invention carries out identification tests and model identification for an identified object with nonlinear parameter varying characteristics. The disclosed systems and methods may be further implemented to enable use of multiple sources for and types of integrated power stages (IPstages) in a common multi-phase VR system configuration while still achieving the required current sense accuracy, thus reducing or substantially eliminating continuity of supply (COS) concerns. The disclosed methods and systems may also be implemented to improve accuracy of current sense in a manner that improves VR system performance, power saving and reliability.
