The invention provides a method for extracting sodium thiocyanate from an ADA desulfurization waste liquid, and relates to the technical field of extraction of sodium thiocyanate, wherein the ADA desulfurization waste liquid includes the following steps: (1) directly taking the ADA desulfurization waste liquid, decolorizing, filtering, and collecting mother liquor; (2) carrying out decompression evaporation concentration operation on the collected mother liquor, to obtain a concentrated material solution; (3) adding an ethanol aqueous solution slowly into the concentrated material solution, and cooling down to 35-45 DEG C while stirring; and (4) filtering, collecting a filtrate, carrying out decompression evaporation concentration, carrying out cooling crystallization, and carrying out centrifugal separation to prepare sodium thiocyanate. The technical problems that an ADA desulfurization waste liquid needs to be subjected to high-temperature evaporation and centrifugal separation to extract mixed salts in the earlier stage of the prior art, resulting in high energy consumption and high separation equipment requirements are effectively solved, high-efficiency dissolution of thiocyanate by the ethanol aqueous solution system is achieved, and the dissolution amount of impurity salts is guaranteed to reach low level at low temperature, so as to achieve the technical effect of precipitating sodium thiocyanate crystals from the mixed solvent rapidly.
