Habitat friendly, pressure conversion, wind energy extraction

A habitat friendly, pressure conversion, wind energy extraction system is disclosed for safely extracting usable energy from wind. The system includes one or more shrouds or concentrator wings that convert the dynamic pressure of wind into relatively lower static pressure and thereby induces a vacuum that draws wind into a turbine centralized within the shrouds or concentrator wings. As such, the turbine impellor blades may be significantly smaller than the large diameter rotor blades of current popular designs and may be enclosed within the shrouds or concentrator wings that present themselves as highly visible objects and as such are easily avoided by birds in flight. The novel system in particular includes a device and method of airflow regulation than minimizes or prevents the stalling, or the generation of a turbulent flow of wind over or between the shrouds or concentrator wings. This stalling has been shown to occur when airflow is quickly accelerated by force of vacuum and drawn out of the turbine shroud which then mixes with and disturbs the otherwise smooth flow of wind over or between the shrouds or concentrator wings. The system may also include an aerobrake that responds quickly to protect the impellor blades or associated mechanisms from overspeeding or exceeding other design limitations under gusting or violent wind conditions. The system may also include a method of guiding elements of the system to orient appropriately into prevailing winds, and a method to support elements of the system, without unduly impeding the free flow of wind. Other advantages and objects are as well disclosed that increase safety and efficiency, increase installation potential, reduce costs and expenses, and minimize negative environmental impact.

Device and method for spinning nanofiber and filament composite yarns

The invention relates to a device for spinning a nanofiber and filament composite yarn; the device is characterized by comprising a left side spinning solution injector and a right side spinning solution injector, wherein the left side spinning solution injector and the right side spinning solution injector are connected with a high voltage power supply anode; receiving plates are connected with a high voltage power supply cathode; a left side filament leading-in device and a right side filament leading-in device are arranged on external sides of a left side receiving plate and a right side receiving plate; and winding devices are arranged below the left side receiving plate and the right side receiving plate. The device for spinning the nanofiber and filament composite yarn, provided by the invention, has the following technical steps of: (1) carrying out electrostatic spinning; (2) leading in filaments to the two nanofiber receiving plates during electrostatic spinning, so that the nanofibers adhere to the two filaments; and (3) twisting and combining the two filaments, so as to obtain the nanofiber and filament composite yarn. According to the invention, the obtained nanofiber and filament composite yarn has the advantages of ultrahigh specific surface area of the nanofiber and high-strength characteristic of the filament.

The invention relates to a preparing device of a high-effective continuous-type electro-spin nanometer fiber felt, the invention comprises a fluid supply system, a metal roller, a receiving device and a spinning fluid recycling groove. The process for preparing comprises firstly, preparing polymer spinning fluid with correct concentration in a dissolution kettle, temporarily storing in a liquid storage tank after passing through a filter, secondly, connecting the metal roller and the positive electrode of a high-pressure electrostatic generator, applying correct electrostatic pressure, leading an aluminium screen cloth to connect ground, thirdly, leading the metal roller to rotate in correct rotary speed, fourth, starting a measuring pump, feeding spinning liquid from the liquid storage tank to an even allotter, leading the spinning liquid to be evenly allocated to a spraying hole on the front end of the even allotter, sputtering from the spraying hole to the surface of a rotating metal roller to form Taylor awl, fifthly, leading a coiling drum to rotate to drive a fiber receiving net to move, and continuously receiving nanometer fiber felt. The process for preparation of the nanometer fiber felt of the invention has high production efficiency, which is suitable for scale production of electro-spinning.

The invention discloses a polyimide liquid crystal vertical alignment agent, a prepration method and a liquid crystal box prepared thereby. The liquid crystal vertical alignment agent is prepared by dissolving soluble polyimide which accounts for 2.5-5% of the weight of the alignment agent into an organic solvent, the soluble polyimide is prepared by leading 1-50 parts by weight of tetracarboxylic dianhydride, 1-50 parts by weight of diamine with a special structure, 1-50 parts by weight of diamine and 40-80 parts by weight of organic solvent to react under the protection of nitrogen and at the temperature of 160-180 DEG C for 5-12 hours, and the diamine with the special structure is prepared by leading HO-B-OH, a catalyst, the organic solvent, halogenated hydrocarbon X-R and dinitro-substituted benzoyl chloride to carry out three-step reaction. The polyimide of a liquid crystal vertical alignment film formed by using the liquid crystal vertical alignment agent disclosed by the invention is soluble, a pretitle angle of the liquid crystal box prepared by spin-coating the polyimide liquid crystal vertical alignment agent is close to 90 degrees, and a liquid crystal display prepared thereby has excellent performances of fast response, wide viewing angle, high contrast degree and the like.

Apparatus and method for dispensing stretch wrap

An apparatus for covering goods, and goods stacked on a pallet with plastic wrap supplied in a roll comprises: a) a roll head adapted to rotatably carry the roll of plastic wrap, the roll head having a friction mechanism so that ease of rotation of the roll with respect to the head is controlled thereby facilitating stretching the wrap around the goods after an end portion of the wrap is initially secured adjacent to the goods; and, b) an elongate handle portion carrying the roll head and extending therefrom in a direction generally parallel to the axis of the roll of plastic wrap. A method of wrapping goods stacked on a pallet with plastic wrap supplied in a roll comprising the steps of: a) elevating the pallet and the goods stacked thereon so that there is sufficient clearance to readily pass the roll of plastic wrap beneath the pallet; b) providing a wrap apparatus as defined above; c) loading the roll head of the apparatus with a roll of plastic wrap; d) attaching an end portion of the plastic wrap to one of the pallet and the goods stacked thereon; and then, e) with the user standing adjacent to the elevated pallet having the goods stacked thereon, encircling the pallet and goods thereon with the roll head, by generally moving the handle in an outline of a cone, thereby encircling and securing the goods and pallet together with plastic wrap.
