Method and apparatus for disrupting a gastric vagal nerve in the gastroesophageal region and testing the function and disruption of the vagal nerve. In one example embodiment, a treatment device applies ultrasound at a high energy level, such as high intensity focused ultrasound, to a vagal nerve to disrupt it and then ultrasound at a lower energy level to another portion of the vagal nerve, preferably further from the stomach, so as to stimulate the vagal nerve. Alternative ways to test the function or disruption of the vagal nerve involve using PCP-GABA, a pancreatic polypeptide, pressure changes inside the stomach, the gastric mucusol pH, a dye agent in the stomach, and other tests.

The key technology of the multi-stage utilization system is that: a bypass flue is added between a main economizer and an air pre-heater on a main flue of a boiler; a two-stage smoke cooler is arranged on the bypass flue to form a high-energy-level smoke afterheat utilization sub-system and a middle-energy-level smoke afterheat utilization sub-system, and a third-stage smoke cooler is arranged behind the air pre-heater to form a low-energy-level smoke afterheat utilization sub-system. Afterheat energy transferring and utilization are achieved by smoke flow adjusting devices of the arranged main flue and the bypass flue. The energy-saving effect is improved at the maximal degree, so that the benefit generated by the exhaust afterheat is maximized.

According to the method and system for comprehensive utilization of the tail heat of the boiler, the low-pressure steam is extracted to heat the cold air so that the heat of the steam is recovered to reduce cold source loss, part of the high-temperature smoke is saved at the same time, and the saved high-temperature smoke is used for heating part of the supplied water through an outlet flue of the economizer or an outlet flue the denitration device; high-level extraction steam of the turbine is saved due to the fact that the high-level smoke is used for heating part of the supplied water, the saved high-level extraction steam can continue to work in the turbine, and then the efficiency of the turbine is improved and fuel coal is saved.

An efficient retransmission of data using symbol accumulation wherein the packet received in error is retransmitted at a lower energy-per-bit level concurrently in the same frame with the new packet. The destination device receives the data transmission and retransmission, demodulate the signal, and separates the received data into the new and retransmitted packet.
