The housing comprises a lower shell, two installation grooves are formed in the lower shell by the enclosing of separation plates, wherein a supporting column is arranged at the bottom of one of the installation grooves, a circuit board is fixed on the supporting column through a bolt, the other installation groove is used for installing batteries and guiding lines, a communication hole is formed in the position between the installation grooves, uppershells are fixed on upper portions of the installation grooves respectively, double clamping plates are arranged on the inner side circumferences of the upper shells, and the double clamping plates are matched with the separation plates. According to the housing, a structure of the water meter is compact and the water meter is convenient to assemble, and a circuit part and a guiding line connection part are divided into two areas which do not interfere with each other, so that the situation of short circuit does not occur; moreover, sealing is conducted between two independent portions and the upper shells, and by adopting the double clamping plates, separation plates can be tightly clamped, and waterproof levels can be greatly improved.
